Here are the skills and attributes we are looking for in our RFID System Architect. We are looking for very strong technical expertise with RFID or IoT system experience.
Job Specific Information
Lead architecture planning and execution related to our RFID RTLS System Implementation
Mentor junior team members, provide strong technical leadership and provide sound technical advice to management
Focus on the long-term architecture and implementation strategy for the SOA services and solutions that enable our operations
Work across teams to drive solutions to problems with high system interdependency
Lead the architecture and oversee the development of cross-functional, multi-platform IoT applications systems
Promote the appropriate architecture and design principles and patterns to be leveraged for every technology enabled solution
Document and implement application architecture and define application components, platforms, interfaces, and development tools
Collaborate regularly with peer architects to ensure solutions align with enterprise direction
Identify strategic and tactical solutions and be able to influence and negotiate with colleagues and business partners
Analyze business requirements and develop functional/system specifications
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities Considered a Plus
Experience implementing RIFD, RTLS, or other large, distributed edge computing solutions
Experience with implementing architecture principles and patterns
Experience with SOA, Java, Linux, C#, Rabbit MQ, Casandra, Jenkins, Mavin, Sonarcube, UDeploy
Experience implementing RIFD, RTLS, or other large, distributed edge computing solution
Experience architecting and implementing distributed systems that process large data volumes
Working knowledge of established application design frameworks and UML
Thorough understanding of TOGAF
Experience in building real-time interfaces between heterogeneous systems
Working knowledge and experience developing large scale systems
Strong problem solving and communication skills
Spring framework, Pivotal Cloud Foundry, Public/Hybrid Cloud PaaS experience, Oracle database, NoSQL, and Linux skill-sets desired
Experience in Continuous Integration/Deployment environment preferred
Time management and prioritization skills
Project management, system analysis and design experience in an Agile environment is helpful
Proactive, great attention to detail, results-oriented problem solver
Ability to balance long term goals against immediate concerns in the areas of code maintainance
