Shift: 2nd and 3rd shift available

Job Description

The Machine Operator will set up, operate, and maintain rewinder and roller machines in a production environment. This role involves performing change-outs, diagnosing mechanical issues, and carrying out small repairs to ensure safe, efficient, and continuous operation of machinery.

Responsibilities

  • Set up rewinder and roller machines according to production specifications and safety standards.
  • Operate machines efficiently to meet production goals while maintaining quality requirements.
  • Perform machine change-outs, including changing rolls and parts, to support different production runs.
  • Check machines regularly to identify wear, damage, or potential issues before they impact production.
  • Diagnose mechanical issues on equipment and perform small repairs to minimize downtime.
  • Use hand tools and basic electrical knowledge to assist with machine assembly, adjustments, and maintenance tasks.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and technical documentation to support machine building and assembly work.
  • Measure materials accurately using a tape measure to ensure proper setup and product dimensions.
  • Collaborate with maintenance and production teams to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems.
  • Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area around the machines.

Essential Skills

  • At least 2+ years of machine operating experience in a production or warehouse environment.
