Job description

Summary:
The Revenue and Reservations Manager plays an important role in the day-to-day operation of Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe Resort, Spa and Casino. This position oversees the reservations process, supports revenue management strategy, and helps ensure the resort is maximizing occupancy, revenue, and guest satisfaction.
The salary range for this position is $67,800 - $99,000
This role manages daily reservation operations, including room inventory, availability, group blocks, rooming lists, cutoff dates, reservation accuracy, guest inquiries, and reservation policies and procedures. The Revenue and Reservations Manager also partners closely with the Director of Revenue Management, Front Office, Sales, and other operational teams to support strong top-line revenue performance and a seamless guest experience.
This position is based on property at the Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe Resort, Spa and Casino. The role currently supervises a Reservations Supervisor and Reservations Agent and serves as a key point of contact for reservation-related questions, guest recovery, group rooming list support, and revenue reporting.
The Revenue and Reservations Manager reports directly to the Director of Revenue Management and supports the hotel's overall strategy to outperform the competitive set through thoughtful pricing, inventory management, distribution strategy, and strong reservation execution.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Reservations Operations
• Oversee the daily reservations process to ensure reservations are accurate, timely, and properly managed.
• Monitor room inventory, availability, restrictions, and pickup to support optimal occupancy and revenue performance.
• Review reservations for accuracy, including rates, routing, billing instructions, special requests, and VIP details.
• Serve as a key point of contact for reservation questions, guest concerns, and guest recovery during the booking process.
• Ensure reservation policies and procedures are followed consistently across the team.
• Partner with Front Office and other operational departments to ensure a seamless arrival experience for guests.
Revenue Management Support
• Work closely with the Director of Revenue Management to monitor daily pickup, compression dates, inventory controls, and revenue opportunities.
• Run, review, and distribute daily, weekly, and monthly revenue management reports.
• Participate in revenue-focused meetings, including Strategy Meeting, Pickup Meeting, Daily Business Review, and other related meetings.
• Provide analysis to support transient and group inventory restrictions, pricing decisions, and revenue strategies.
• Assist with implementation of hotel sales strategy and pricing recommendations across Hyatt revenue systems, market segments, and distribution channels.
• Support Front Office revenue initiatives, including upsell programs and sell-out management.
Group Rooms and Sales Support
• Manage group rooming lists, cutoff dates, and group block changes.
• Track group pickup and monitor inventory changes for group blocks.
• Ensure group blocks are properly routed and billing details are reviewed for accuracy.
• Attend weekly group pickup meetings and partner with Sales to support group reservation needs.
• Monitor and assess lost business when applicable.
Systems, Distribution, and Reporting
• Assist with maintaining Hyatt revenue management and reservation systems, including PrO, Reserve, Opera, RMT, and Envision, in accordance with Hyatt standards.
• Monitor rate parity, content accuracy, and display of rates, packages, and promotions across public channels.
• Assist with OTA inquiries, requests, and disputes.
• Serve as a property resource for packages, promotions, partnerships, and volume accounts to ensure all sellers have accurate information.
Leadership and Communication
• Supervise, train, and support the Reservations team.
• Provide coaching and development to reservations colleagues to support service standards and performance expectations.
• Maintain strong communication with Revenue Management, Sales, Front Office, and other hotel departments.
• Monitor guest feedback and reservation-related guest scores to support best-in-class service.
• Communicate professionally with guests, colleagues, managers, and third-party partners in a way that reflects positively on the hotel, the Hyatt brand, and the company.
Qualifications:
• Two years of experience in hotel revenue management, reservations, group rooms, front office operations, or a related hospitality discipline preferred.
• Prior supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
• Experience with Hyatt reservation systems and procedures preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and follow-up skills.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Refined verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Ability to train, motivate, and support team members.
• Strong understanding of guest service and the importance of reservation accuracy in the overall guest experience.
