Lead of Logistics Consumer Electronics (CE) Returns

About the Role

We're seeking a sharp, detail-oriented Lead of Logistics to spearhead a Consumer Electronics (CE) reverse logistics department. This role goes beyond moving boxes you'll own the full lifecycle of returned electronics, leading a small team responsible for receiving store returns, auditing and tracking high-value CE inventory, and coordinating outbound shipment of refurbished products ranging from single-parcel shipments to full-pallet freight.

What You'll Do

Returns Management (Inbound)

  • Oversee receiving of CE store returns and bulk liquidations
  • Ensure accurate scanning, sorting, and grading of returned electronics (laptops, smartphones, audio gear) based on cosmetic and functional condition

Inventory Control & Accuracy

  • Maintain real-time inventory tracking in the WMS for raw returns, WIP, and finished refurbished goods
  • Lead serial number tracking and data-wiping verification logs to prevent shrink and protect data security
  • Conduct routine cycle counts and reconcile inventory discrepancies

Refurbished Outbound Operations

  • Coordinate picking, packing, and shipping of ready-to-sell refurbished products

Team Leadership & Safety

  • Train, delegate tasks, and motivate a team of 35 warehouse associates
  • Enforce strict safety standards for handling lithium-ion batteries and heavy machinery (forklifts/pallet jacks)
What We're Looking For
  • 1+ years in warehouse operations, reverse logistics, or electronic repair environments a plus
  • Proven experience with both parcel packaging standards and LTL freight shipping (pallet configuration, freight classes, Bill of Lading creation)
  • Forklift certification (sit-down/stand-up reach) preferred
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills (spreadsheets, data entry, basic formulas, filtering/sorting large data sets)
  • Comfortable using Word to document SOPs and PowerPoint for operational updates or safety briefings
  • High comfort level with WMS software, RF scanners, and shipping platforms
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and stand/walk for extended periods
