Retail Warehouse Supervisor
Full-Time, Non-Exempt

Position Overview:
The Retail Warehouse Supervisor supervises the warehouse team, overseeing daily operations at the direction of the Warehouse Manager, including receiving, storage, allocation, and distribution of products and supplies. This role ensures efficient processes, accurate inventory management, and the safety and security of staff and assets at the Mount Vernon CCVC Retail Warehouse.
Compensation:
$22.00-$24.00 /hour
Expected Hours:
40 hours/week
Essential Duties:
Team Leadership
  • Supervise and assist in training the warehouse team, fostering a positive, high-performance environment.
  • Provide coaching and feedback for management.

Warehouse Operations
  • Oversee receipt, storage, and allocation of incoming products and packages.
  • Process receivers as shipments arrive and communicate with buyers as needed.
  • Designate areas for receiving, processing, staging, and storage.
  • Monitor space allocation and alert the Manager to any concerns.

Inventory Management
  • Ensure accuracy of warehouse inventory, following proper procedures.
  • Review and verify inventory actions.
  • Monitor stock levels at warehouse, generate transfers to Shops and E-Commerce locations as requested.

Compliance & Secure Handling
  • Ensure proper handling, secure storage, and distribution of Mount Vernon Distillery whiskey and Gristmill products.

Logistics & Deliveries
  • Ensure accurate and timely daily delivery and pick-up of USPS and UPS mail and packages throughout the estate.

Audits & Accuracy
  • Assist with annual inventories and conduct random warehouse counts to ensure accuracy.

Other Duties
Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • 1-2 years of warehouse supervisory experience; retail warehouse experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time, multitask, and maintain a high level of accuracy and detail. Proficiency in warehouse or inventory management software required; Counterpoint or Cin7 IMS experience preferred.
  • Ability to work efficiently, independently, and collaboratively with team members.
  • Excellent communication, motivation, and coaching skills.
  • Ability to lift and move objects up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to be trained and certified to operate an electric pallet jack and skid lift.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Position requires standing, sitting, walking, climbing stairs, and regular physical activity.

Performance Expectations:
Inventory Accuracy: Work to maintain 98% or higher accuracy across warehouse and shop stockrooms.
Receiving Efficiency: Process and stage incoming shipments within 24 hours of delivery.
Transfer Timeliness: Complete stock transfers within 1 business day of request.
Compliance & Safety: Maintain zero OSHA violations and ensure 100% compliance with alcohol-handling protocols.
Mail & Package Delivery: Ensure twice daily USPS/UPS mail and package deliveries and pick-ups are completed on schedule.
Work Environment:
This position operates in a warehouse or fulfillment environment with varying activity levels and potential exposure to temperature changes and moving equipment.
