Responsibilities
The MEC Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the installation of products, equipment, or systems for clients, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to specifications. This role involves coordinating and managing the entire installation process, including logistics, scheduling, resource allocation, and communication between clients, vendors, and installation teams.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, and budget.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, clients, and external contractors to ensure all project requirements are met.
  • Organize and manage the logistics of equipment, materials, and resources needed for installation.
  • Lead and supervise installation teams to ensure adherence to project timelines, quality standards, and safety protocols.
  • Allocate tasks and schedules team members based on their skills and experience.
  • Provide training or guidance to installation staff as necessary.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients during the installation phase.
  • Provide regular updates on project status, delays, and adjustments.
  • Address and resolve any issues or concerns raised by clients.
  • Ensure that all installations are completed to high standards of quality, safety, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct site inspections and quality checks throughout the installation process.
  • Monitor project budgets, ensuring that the project stays within financial constraints.
  • Approve purchase orders for necessary materials and equipment.
  • Manage and track project expenses and invoicing.
  • Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Resolve unforeseen issues or delays promptly to minimize disruptions to the installation schedule.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of project milestones, changes, and issues.
  • Prepare reports for management on project status, performance, and financial outcomes.
  • Ensure all project documentation is complete and accurate for post-installation support.
  • Ensure smooth handover of the installed systems/products to the client.
  • Coordinate any required post-installation support or troubleshooting.

Qualifications
Education / Training
  • Completion of technical/trade school preferred, or related technical field, or equivalent experience.

Work Experience / Skills
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in project management, with a focus on installations.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and multitasking abilities.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Asana, Trello).
  • Knowledge of safety standards and installation processes.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong client-focused attitude, with the ability to manage client expectations effectively.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements.
  • Experience with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) and other sales enablement platforms a plus.
  • Ability to understand and follow all company policies and procedures and all applicable State and Federal laws.
  • Ability to use typical business tools including E-Mail, Word, Excel, etc.
