Job Description

How You’ll Make an Impact: 

  • Responsible for successfully coordinating and directing retail and concession operations for the site
  • Direct daily operations including working with the executive chef on menus and promotions, purchasing/ordering, inventory, scheduling
  •  Manage financials for the retail program including labour cost, food cost, inventory, equipment and materials
  • Supervise, mentor, and monitor supervisors and evaluate performance to ensure a high level of productivity and the best use of team member capabilities
  • Ensure that the annual retail objectives are achieved
  • Maintain operating standards and implement quality improvements
  • Promote and assist in the marketing of the retail program
  • Constant analysis of the retail performance; identifying efficiencies and areas of opportunity
  • Ensure compliance of all Company and Client standards and Provincial/Federal Legislation
  • Ensure compliance to all Food Safety and Physical Safety Policies and Procedures
Qualifications

What You’ll Need to Succeed: 

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a busy retail environment In a management role
  • Ability not only to lead the team to deliver on an innovative and high quality retail program, including branded concepts, but also to lead and inspire your team to look for ways to improve on what we already do to ensure we are exceeding the students’ expectations.  
  • Experience in running and evaluating successful promotions
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced, team-centric and safety driven environment
  • Proven organizational skills and strong computer/technology capabilities including Microsoft Office use and Social Media
  • Proven cash handling experience
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with customers, clients and staff
  • Ability to work, problem solve and provide solutions independently
  • Genuine desire to provide customer service experiences beyond expectations
  • A passion for food, people and service excellence
  • A genuine desire to grow and learn
