Position Overview

Deliver Client Focused project management. Provide strong project leadership for multiple and substantial projects. Lead with efficient design and management to produce profitable projects. Mentor junior team members so they professionally grow and lead.

Responsibilities (subject to change, modification as needed) are as follows, but not limited to:

  • Assumption and implementation of projects from start through completion.
  • Organization and coordination of the K2M project team. Manage the team to deliver results.
  • Develop and implement project management plan and project budget
  • Develop and maintain project schedule.
  • Develop EVA (Earned Value Analysis) on a regular basis. Accurate record keeping and documentation throughout course of work.
  • Maintain understanding of project financial issues including Credit ratings, Terms of agreement, Changes in agreement scope, Billing process, Settlements, etc.
  • Schedule and record all meetings and ensure follow-up on decisions made.
  • Establish work plan and staffing for each phase of project and arrange for recruitment or assignment of project personnel.
  • Confer with project staff to outline work plan and to assign duties, responsibilities, and scope.
  • Direct and coordinate activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget.
  • Review status reports prepared by project personnel and modify schedules or plans as required.
  • Provide reports on the status of project milestones for client, management, or others.
  • Confer with project personnel to provide technical advice and to resolve problems.
  • Coordinate project activities with activities of government regulatory or other governmental agencies.
  • Oversee and plan all architectural / engineering aspects of projects.Responsible for final specifications, approval for ordered materials, and overall guidance on objectives and concepts.
  • Administer construction contracts and conduct periodic on-site observation of work during construction to monitor compliance with plans.
  • Assure proper close out of project.
  • Manage multiple projects at any one time.
  • Available for travel as needed to different locations and varying periods of time as needed on a project basis for site surveys, client meetings, consultant coordination, construction administration, etc.
  • 20% of work time is reserved for traveling.

Requirements

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or similar from a NAAB accredited College or university.
  • 8 or more years AEC work experience.
  • 3 or more years' experience as a Project Manager
  • Licensure preferred, but not required.
