RNR Tire Express is seeking a Controller to join our Financial Operations team in Springdale, Arkansas. This role supports a growing multi-location retail organization with over 40 stores across 7 states and plays a critical part in maintaining accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and disciplined accounting processes.


The Controller will partner closely with leadership to ensure that financial operations run cleanly, predictably, and on schedule. This position is responsible for helping with the monthly close process, financial reporting, strengthening accounting procedures, and supporting budgeting and forecasting efforts.


We are looking for a technically strong accounting professional who values structure, accountability, and process improvement. This role requires both attention to detail and the ability to communicate financial results clearly to operational leadership.


Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the monthly close process across a multi-location organization
  • Maintain and improve accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
  • Oversee general ledger activity, reconciliations, and reporting accuracy
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
  • Provide clear variance explanations and performance insights to leadership
  • Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local reporting requirements
  • Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and strengthen documentation

Requirements:Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
  • Minimum of 8 years of progressive accounting experience
  • Experience in multi-location, retail, or franchise environments strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated experience leading or managing a monthly close process
  • Experience supporting external audits and working with auditors
Technical Skills
  • Strong working knowledge of GAAP and internal control principles
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, financial modeling)
  • Experience with QuickBooks or comparable accounting systems
  • Ability to analyze financial statements and provide clear variance explanations
  • Experience assisting with budgeting and forecasting processes
