Position: Restaurant Supervisor
Department: Food & Beverage
Location: Philadelphia, PA
CO-OP Restaurant & Lounge, located within The Study at University City, is seeking a service-driven and detail-oriented Restaurant Supervisor to support the daily operations of our dining room and bar. This role assists in leading front-of-house service, ensuring a high level of hospitality, and maintaining operational standards in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment.
The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities while supporting team performance and delivering a seamless guest experience.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise daily dining room operations to ensure service standards are met.
  • Support and guide front-of-house team members during service.
  • Ensure proper staff appearance and adherence to uniform and service standards.
  • Provide assistance to guests, resolving concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Coordinate floor assignments and support efficient guest flow.
  • Assist with bar operations, including overseeing stock levels and service execution.
  • Monitor restaurant equipment and ensure proper maintenance and cleanliness.
  • Maintain knowledge of menu items, daily specials, and beverage offerings.
  • Ensure compliance with all liquor laws and service regulations.
  • Collaborate with management on team performance, coaching, and development.
  • Maintain inventory levels and oversee restocking of supplies.
  • Complete end-of-shift duties including inspections and reporting maintenance needs.
  • Communicate effectively with kitchen, bar, and hotel teams to support operations.

Fundamentals
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2+ years in a fine dining or upscale casual environment.
  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Proficiency in English required; a second language is a plus.
