Job description

Overview
The Front Manager is responsible for assisting in coordinating activities of workers engaged in selling food and alcoholic beverages for consumption on premises by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.
Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the day-to-day supervision of all employees who work in the front of the house
  • Ensure compliance and maintain knowledge and understanding of all federal, state and local employment laws
  • Responsible for compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Standards and company safety rules
  • Enforce the company's unlawful harassment and discrimination policies
  • Attend manager meetings and training sessions
  • Work during weekends, holidays and peak business periods may be required, including working any shift/day designated by the General Manager
  • Ensure excellence in guest satisfaction through commitment to a "Do whatever it takes attitude" and a hands-on, lead by example management style
  • Utilize leadership skills and motivates employees to ensure cost control and labor management
  • Ensure paperwork accuracy such as daily sales summary reports, petty cash reimbursement forms, and payroll records

Qualifications
  • Minimum age requirement of 21 years of age
  • At least 2 years of experience in restaurant management
  • Strong knowledge of front of the house operations including food, beverages, staff supervision, service techniques and improving guest experience
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
  • Effective communication skills
