We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Assistant Manager - Restaurant to join our vibrant hospitality team at Dairy Queen Grill and Chill Fort Lauderdale. Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of restaurant operations, including shift management, staff supervision, and customer service delivery.
- Coordinate food preparation and cooking processes to ensure quality standards are met consistently.
- Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies, monitoring stock levels, and reducing waste through effective food management practices.
- Supervise and train staff on food handling, safety procedures, POS system
- Handle cash transactions accurately, perform cash handling duties, and reconcile daily sales reports.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness standards across the kitchen and dining areas.
- Support hiring processes by interviewing candidates, onboarding new team members, and fostering a culture of continuous training & development.
- Assist in budgeting efforts, cost control initiatives, and implementing operational improvements to maximize efficiency.
- Lead by example in hospitality management, demonstrating leadership in supervising staff during busy shifts while maintaining a positive work environment.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in restaurant management or supervisory roles within quick service & fast food restaurants or casual dining establishments.
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen management with fine dining or catering experience preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams effectively through training & development initiatives; previous assistant manager experience highly valued.
- Knowledge of food safety standards, inventory control practices, and food industry regulations.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Experience with food production processes, and managing restaurant operations in a hospitality or hotel environment is advantageous.
