Our client, a manufacturing company, is seeking an experienced and hands-on HR Manager to lead all Human Resources activities for a start-up manufacturing facility located in Warrendale, Pennsylvania. The local company is part of a large manufacturing group with a revenue of about $1.8B.


The role:


This is a perfect role for a HRBP or a Sr. Generalist looking to grow. The HR Manager will be instrumental in building and scaling the local HR function while ensuring full alignment with corporate HR policies, processes, and standards.

Responsibilities:


  • Collaborate with plant management to develop workforce strategies and organizational plans that support operational, production, and business objectives.
  • Work closely with Human Resources teams in Italy and across the Our client network to implement corporate initiatives and ensure consistency in human resources policies, processes, and governance.
  • Support the development and implementation of innovative recruitment strategies to attract and retain talent in a competitive job market.
  • Oversee all human resources administrative activities, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations.
  • Oversee payroll operations and progressively develop in-house payroll expertise, with the goal of transitioning payroll management from external vendors to the internal human resources team.
  • Manage budgeting and forecasting processes related to labor costs, workforce planning, and organizational growth.
  • Monitor, analyze, and report on key human resources metrics, including headcount, turnover, absenteeism, retention, recruitment effectiveness, and labor costs, providing insights to support decision-making.
  • Develop, guide, and lead the HR Specialist/Generalist by setting clear objectives, encouraging accountability, and promoting continuous professional growth.


The candidate:


The ideal candidate combines strong HR experience with a hands-on, people-focused approach and the ability to operate both strategically and operationally.

Given the site's rapid expansion, talent acquisition and workforce scaling will be a key priority.


  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Labor Relations, or related field.
  • Minimum 7 years of HR experience a must.
  • Manufacturing, industrial, distribution, or operations environment a huge plus.
  • Demonstrated experience managing full-cycle recruitment, preferably in manufacturing environments.
  • Experience supporting fast-paced and rapidly growing organizations.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to leverage HR metrics and workforce data to support decision-making.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to balance strategic priorities with day-to-day operational execution.
  • Experience with start-up organizations a huge plus.
  • Experience reporting to International HQ a plus.
