Job Summary:

The Staffing & Resource Manager - NDE is responsible for the planning, staffing, scheduling, deployment, and utilization of NDE field personnel to support customer projects and business objectives. This role ensures qualified employees are effectively assigned based on certifications, skills, availability, customer requirements, and operational priorities while maximizing workforce utilization and project success.

Working closely with Operations, Recruiting, Training, and Executive Leadership, the Staffing & Resource Manager forecasts workforce needs, supports employee development, and drives staffing strategies that align with customer commitments and business goals. The role serves as the primary point of contact for NDE field personnel regarding assignments, mobilization, training, qualifications, and performance management.

The ideal candidate is a proactive leader with strong organizational, analytical, and relationship management skills who can balance competing priorities in a fast-paced environment while supporting operational excellence, employee engagement, customer satisfaction, and business growth.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years supporting NDE/NDT operations and certification programs.
  • 2+ years of workforce planning, staffing, project coordination, or operations experience.
  • 2+ years of leadership or employee management experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and workforce management systems.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for NDE field personnel regarding assignments, mobilization, training, certifications, and workforce needs.
  • Coordinate staffing and deployment of personnel based on qualifications, certifications, availability, customer requirements, and business priorities.
  • Forecast workforce needs and partner with operations, project managers, customers, and recruiting teams to support project execution.
  • Monitor and improve utilization, productivity, and staffing efficiency metrics.
  • Review and approve employee time and expense submissions in accordance with company policies and customer requirements.
  • Maintain workforce records, qualifications, certifications, performance documentation, and staffing history within company systems.
  • Support recruiting, hiring events, candidate screening, workforce development, succession planning, and employee retention initiatives.
  • Provide after-hours staffing support as required by customer commitments and operational demands.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Working knowledge of Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT), and Visual Testing (VT).
  • Understanding of NDE personnel qualification and certification requirements.
  • Ability to collaborate with NDE Level III personnel, technical SMEs, and certification administrators to ensure workforce readiness.


Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for prolonged periods.
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment and technology.
  • Ability to work in an office environment and perform computer-based work for extended periods.
  • Ability to travel as needed to customer sites, company locations, recruiting events, and training activities.
  • Ability to navigate industrial and power generation work environments during site visits.
  • Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during site visits, training events, and recruiting activities.
  • Ability to work occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.

Travel Requirements

Up to 10% travel may be required.
