Job description
At KPMG in Canada, our people bring their unique perspectives to Canada’s most important challenges. Here, you can build momentum that reaches beyond our business, develop skills for the future, and take ownership of your career with support at every stage. Join a firm where your career can make a difference.
Your work matters. As part of our Audit & Assurance practice, you’ll deliver high quality work that supports trust, transparency, and confidence across both public and private organizations. We foster an environment of high challenge, where curiosity and critical thinking are encouraged. Through high support, including progressive learning, strong coaching, inclusive teamwork, and a shared commitment to integrity, we perform at our best – measuring what matters, recognizing impact, and continuously evolving to deliver excellence. This creates a culture where the best work happens when high challenge and high support work together. That balance is how our values show up—in how we work, how we lead, and what we deliver.
Canadian Resource Centre (CRC) is KPMG's offshore delivery model that supports Canadian engagement teams by providing audit, assurance, data analytics, and other engagement-related services. CRC professionals work alongside onshore teams to enhance efficiency, support quality delivery, and help engagement teams focus on higher-value client activities.
The primary role of CRC Manager is to provide direct support and guidance to both offshore and onshore teams so that Canadian audit engagement teams can effectively leverage the CRC on their audits and assurance engagements.
What you will do
Operations
- Overseeing day-to-day operations, including attending daily or weekly calls with members of the offshore management team, oversight of the various CRC functional mailboxes, and responding to feedback received from onshore audit engagement teams.
- Provide direct support to audit engagement teams so they can effectively leverage the Audit CRC on their engagements.
- Assist in overseeing the Quality (QMCI) team at the CRC in India by identifying areas for quality improvement and overseeing the implementation of solutions to ensure the highest audit quality and deliverables.
- Prepare training materials, how-to, monthly/quarterly newsletters, and other guidance documents for the internal CRC portal.
- Assist with CRC resource management from an onshore perspective, including coordinating and collaborating with the National audit resource management team, lead Retain coordinators in the geographies and local offices.
- Leverage firm processes and programs to ensure active support of the business.
Reporting
- Provide support to geographic business units to achieve geographic and local office CRC objectives.
- Prepare monthly reporting packages for senior audit leadership and business unit leaders, including financial results and strategic commentary on hours results and trends.
- Prepare ad hoc CRC presentations and PowerPoint decks for various stakeholders in the firm as requested by the National CRC leader.
Other
- Expected to be a performance manager to more junior team members.
- Willingness to travel internationally and ability to obtain requisite business traveler visa / work permits for India.
- The successful candidate may be required to create, interpret and/or apply policies, practices, laws and and/or regulations during the regular course of their employment.
- The successful candidate recognizes and agrees to start their day earlier or work later than the normal office hours to allow for sufficient overlap with the offshore management team. This is a critical success factor in ensuring smooth operational oversight.
At times, business needs arise, and employees are required and agree to work beyond their normal workday or work week to fulfill the accountabilities required for their job. Likewise, people need time to devote to personal matters, and our approach to flexibility provides for this.
What you bring to the role
- 5+ years of experience working with a public practice accounting firm, with at least 3 years in a management role.
- Manager or equivalent, having at least 2 years of experience with KPMG Canada or Big 4 or any professional services organizations.

- Proficiency and knowledgeable with analytics and visualization tools such as Power BI, Power Query, Python, R, Alteryx, Microsoft PowerApps/Power Automate.

- Proven time management and organizational skills
- PCAOB accreditation is an asset.
- Superior written, and verbal communication skills in English is required.
- Experience facilitating any of the Audit Foundations courses offered by KBS (or in a similar role) is an asset.
