ROLE: Reporting to the President, this role is part of a dynamic team responsible for leading the ongoing development of culture and HR strategy based on alignment with organizational direction. QUALIFICATIONS: * 10 years of Human Resources generalist experience and responsibility for operating, redesign and implementation of functions including human resource and leadership development, performance management, compensation, benefits, succession plans, policy development and employee relations. * Client-focused with highly proficient consulting skills including collaboration, facilitation, influencing and needs assessments. * Proven ability to think critically, problem solve, and provide analysis and recommendations. * Organizational and business acumen, with the ability to understand, implement and support multiple priorities and activities. * Advanced verbal and written skills and an ability to adapt to a variety of styles. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: * Develop and maintain people practices that efficiently and effectively support Watt Consulting Group’s culture and direction, while meeting best practice standards and stakeholder requirements. * In close partnership with the senior leadership team, continue to strengthen a high performance culture through effective organizational design, employee and leadership development and HR practices. * Optimize Watt Consulting Group's people and talent practices in recruitment, total rewards, and performance development, ensuring fit within principles and strategic direction. Prioritize annual HR plans in conjunction with Watt’s strategic plans. * Partner with the President to implement effective employee communications processes that support and facilitate the ongoing development of company culture. * Talent Management (development, goal & performance planning, and succession). * Managing and leading the design and implementation of Watt Consulting Group's total rewards portfolio, including compensation and benefits. Establishing compensation philosophy and practices that are aligned to business strategy and ensuring market competitiveness of compensation and benefit programs. * Employee Relations. * Recruiting * Partner with the President and management to develop, implement and update corporate policies and procedures to meet legal, federal and provincial requirements.
