Description
The Resort Security Officer safeguards Pebble Beach Company property and the wellbeing of our guests, employees, and residents.

The Company also operates five renowned golf courses: Pebble Beach Golf Links, home of the 2027 U.S. Open, Spyglass Hill Golf Course, The Links at Spanish Bay, Del Monte Golf Course, and the Tiger Woods designed short course, The Hay.
Its other famed properties include scenic 17-Mile Drive, The Spa at Pebble Beach, Forbes Five-Star certified since 2014, Pebble Beach Golf Academy & Practice Facility, and a diverse offering of culinary and retail experiences. PBC annually hosts premier events such as the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance, AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, TaylorMade Pebble Beach Invitational, Pebble Beach Food & Wine and PURE Insurance Championship.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Observe and report all violations of Pebble Beach Company policies and procedures.
  • Patrol hotel front and back of the house areas.
  • Monitor and respond to fire and smoke alarms.
  • Monitor closed circuit television cameras.
  • Respond to any incident involving guests, visitors, or employees.
  • Prepare and log incident reports.
  • Monitor guest and employee parking areas and write employee citations when Company rules and regulations are violated.
  • Lock and unlock offices, storerooms, entrance and exit doors to all facilities.
  • Control access to the Food & Beverage storerooms after normal business hours.
  • Respond as requested to the needs of management, guests and employees.
  • Inspect fire extinguishers.
  • Review daily logs information and obtain briefing from previous officer and the briefing of the oncoming officer.
  • Assist with traffic control when needed, special events etc.
  • Maintain a clean, safe and healthy work environment.
  • Comply with all Pebble Beach Company safety and health policies and procedures.
  • Keep the Security Manager informed on any/all Security issues.
  • Account for and maintain all Security department equipment.
  • Control and maintain accountability for the issue and return of hotel keys.
  • Monitor and inspect packages, bags etc. being removed from Pebble Beach Company property by employees.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Director of Security.

Absolutely Required Skills:
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Able to gather information during interviews with guests, visitors and employees regarding reported incidents (vehicle accidents, medical emergencies, lost/missing/stolen property) by asking the necessary questions.
  • Able to clearly communicate in writing reported incidents (vehicle accidents, medical emergencies, and lost/missing/stolen property).
  • Must be able to control and accurately account for the inventory of keys.
  • Must be able to recognize problem situations, take the appropriate action to resolve any issue and/or contact management for assistance.
  • Maintain a professional appearance at all times.
  • Able to obtain CPR/AED and first aid certificates within first 90 days of employment.
  • Able to obtain state issued guard card.
  • Able to work weekends, holidays, and evening shifts as needed.
  • Minimum age is 21 years old.
  • Valid California driver's license, less than two points.

Desired Skills:
  • Experience in the security industry, military or law enforcement preferred.
  • Knowledge of the Pebble Beach Resorts and the Monterey Peninsula.
