Security Officer at Cheeca Lodge & Spa: Ensuring a Safe and Secure Paradise
Join Our Team: In the serene setting of Islamorada, Cheeca Lodge & Spa is looking for a vigilant and reliable Security Officer. This role is vital for maintaining the security and well-being of our property, guests, and team members, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Enforce the Emergency Action Plan (EAP) and ensure staff compliance.
  • Maintain accurate logs of security activities, calls, deliveries, and guest assistance.
  • Regular patrols of the property to ensure its security.
  • Knowledgeable in repairing locks, safes, and elevators on the property.
  • Manage security protocols for lost keys, property theft, and incident reporting.
  • Handle evening deliveries and ensure their proper distribution.
  • Provide a welcoming presence to guests, offering assistance as a valet and guiding them as needed.
  • Uphold guest confidentiality and follow correct procedures for guest room entry.
  • Promptly assist guests with their requests and ensure follow-up.
  • Effectively handle security-related guest interactions and report incidents.
  • Assist with training staff on the Emergency Action Plan and Safety Program.

Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • At least 18 years old with a valid driver's license.
  • Fluent in English with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
