Job description

Overview
The Resort Maintenance Technician is responsible for supporting the overall upkeep, safety, and functionality of the property. This role performs a variety of maintenance tasks across guest rooms, public spaces, and exterior areas to ensure all facilities remain in proper working condition. The position requires a hands-on approach to repairs, preventative maintenance, and responding to service requests in a timely and professional manner.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities for this role may include, but are not limited to:
  • Respond to guest service requests and maintenance concerns reported by the front desk, ensuring timely resolution and clear communication once completed
  • Perform routine inspections of building systems and equipment to confirm safe and efficient operation
  • Complete preventative maintenance tasks as scheduled to minimize equipment downtime and extend the life of property assets
  • Diagnose and repair issues related to plumbing, electrical systems, refrigeration, and general mechanical components
  • Carry out general repair work such as painting, basic carpentry, and minor renovations as needed
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance shops, storage areas, and mechanical rooms
  • Communicate ongoing issues, repairs, or unusual findings to the Chief Engineer to support timely decision-making
  • Assist with upkeep of furniture, fixtures, and equipment throughout the property
  • Perform sanitation-related tasks such as removing trash and maintaining designated service areas
  • Ensure all work is completed with minimal disruption to guests and daily operations
  • Support both interior and exterior maintenance needs, including guest rooms, public areas, and grounds
  • Complete additional maintenance or operational tasks as assigned by management

‎Qualifications
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Physically able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds as required
  • Prior maintenance experience
  • Comfortable working in varying environmental conditions, including both indoor and outdoor settings, as well as heat and cold
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to complete work accurately and efficiently
  • Reliable work habits with a demonstrated sense of responsibility and accountability
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with guests, team members, and supervisors
  • Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments
  • Commitment to providing a safe environment and supporting a positive guest experience
