Job description

The Returns Coordinator is responsible for managing the efficient and accurate processing of returned goods, ensuring timely resolution and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction and operational efficiency within the logistics and supply chain framework.
Responsibilities

  • Process and document all incoming product returns, including inspection, categorization, and data entry into the inventory management system.
  • Communicate proactively with customers, carriers, and internal departments regarding return status, resolution, and any discrepancies.
  • Coordinate with warehouse staff for the physical handling, storage, and disposition of returned items.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies related to returns, such as incorrect items, damaged goods, or missing documentation.
  • Prepare and process necessary paperwork for credit issuance, exchanges, or re-stocking of returned products.
  • Identify trends in returns and report findings to management to improve processes and reduce future return rates.
  • Maintain accurate records of all return transactions and activities in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of improved returns processes and protocols.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies within the returns department.


Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a returns, warehouse, logistics, or customer service role, preferably within the transportation or supply chain industry.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience with inventory management systems (WMS) or ERP software.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to operate warehouse equipment.
  • Must be capable of sitting, standing, and walking for extended periods of time
  • Ability to lift more than 80-100 lbs. frequently
  • Ability to count accurately
  • Support several trucks daily
