Customer Service Representative

About the Team

As a Customer Service Representative at ZF, you will play a key role in ensuring customer satisfaction by managing delivery performance, coordinating shipment activities, maintaining critical customer data, and serving as the primary liaison between customers and internal teams. This position thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment where strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills contribute to operational excellence and continuous improvement.

The expected base compensation for this role is $60,000.00 - $85,000.00 annually.  Actual base compensation within the identified range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.

What you can look forward to as Customer Service Representative:

  • Manage customer delivery performance by maintaining established On-Time Delivery (OTD) goals and coordinating daily shipment activities through SAP.
  • Review customer requirements, create deliveries, and maintain system data including scheduling agreements, master data, and other customer service records.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries, providing shipment updates and resolving delivery, quality, and service-related issues.
  • Monitor customer communications, including EDI transactions and purchase orders, and escalate issues that may impact production plans, sales, or customer satisfaction.
  • Participate in production and cross-functional meetings to review delivery performance, quality concerns, production status, and corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external customers to investigate issues, implement solutions, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate customer documentation, forecasts, and capacity planning information while supporting business reporting requirements.
  • Support team and organizational growth by assisting with training, complying with health, safety, and environmental requirements, and traveling as needed for customer-related business activities.

Your profile as Customer Service Representative:

  • Associate's degree in a related field with a minimum of 3 years of experience in customer service, materials planning, or production planning.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Strong organizational, time management, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment and provide after-hours support when required.
