Job description

The Business Reporting Administrator is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and maintaining operational and business data to support reporting, decision-making, and continuous improvement initiatives. This role works closely with cross-functional teams to develop reports, monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), and ensure data accuracy across multiple systems and platforms.


Key Responsibilities
  • Create, maintain, and distribute daily, weekly, and monthly operational and business reports.

  • Analyze business data and trends to support operational efficiency and strategic decision-making.

  • Develop dashboards and reporting tools using Excel, Power BI, or other reporting platforms.

  • Ensure accuracy, integrity, and consistency of data across systems and reports.

  • Collaborate with operations, finance, HR, and leadership teams to gather reporting requirements.

  • Monitor KPIs and provide insights and recommendations based on reporting analysis.

  • Maintain databases, reporting templates, and documentation for standardized reporting processes.

  • Assist with forecasting, budgeting, and performance tracking initiatives.

  • Identify process improvement opportunities related to reporting automation and data management.

  • Troubleshoot reporting discrepancies and work with appropriate departments to resolve issues.

  • Support audits and compliance reporting requirements as needed.

  • Prepare presentations and summaries for management review meetings.


Qualifications
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Data Analytics, Finance, or related field preferred.

  • 2+ years of experience in reporting, business administration, data analysis, or a related role.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and formulas.

  • Experience with Power BI, Tableau, SQL, or other reporting tools preferred.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.


Preferred Skills
  • Experience working in logistics, supply chain, manufacturing, or warehouse environments.

  • Knowledge of ERP, WMS, or TMS systems.

  • Understanding of KPI development and operational reporting metrics.

  • Experience with data visualization and dashboard creation.

About the Role

How you will contribute 

  • Design, develop, and validate standard reports and metric dashboards to measure business performance.
  • Design, develop, and manage balanced scorecard needs for enterprise and recommend improvements to reporting processes.
  • Validate business data for purposes of establishing guidelines, variance and discrepancy analysis to determine opportunities for improved operational efficiencies.
  • Participate in or lead process improvement projects utilizing database or applications to streamline manual processes and improve productivity in both internal team and corporate departments.
  • Provide trending reports for the assessment of metric reports including customer program and service provider performance data.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Your Key Qualifications 

  • 4 year degree (preferably in Business Technology, Supply Chain, Finance, or Business Administration).
  • Experience with reporting and metric creation.
  • Expert level proficiency in advanced functions of Visual Basic for Applications, Microsoft Excel (macros/pivots/dashboards/formulas), Microsoft Access, MS Business Intelligence (PowerPivot/PowerQuery).
  • Experience with SQL, Microsoft SQL Server, Crystal, and/or Excelcius Report a plus.
  • Ability to perform needs assessment; problem solving and root cause analysis.
