LOCATION
Boise, ID (Remote flexibility available)
Travel required to Boise, Stibnite, Donnelly, contractor offices, and surrounding project areas in Idaho and Canada as needed.
  1. Due to the remote nature of the project, candidates must be comfortable working in mountainous and remote environments
  2. During periods without site, Boise office, or contractor meeting commitments, employees may work remotely
  3. Boise office presence will initially be as-needed for meetings and collaboration, typically with advance notice provided
COMPENSATION
$100,000 – $120,000 base salary (up to $140,000 for highly qualified candidates)
• 15% Short-Term Incentive (annual bonus)
• 20% Long-Term Incentive (equity over 3 years)
SCHEDULE
Generally Monday–Friday with a typical workload ranging from 40–50 hours per week.
• Occasional busy periods may require approximately 60-hour work weeks during active construction or field operations
• Site travel weeks may involve extended hours due to contractor schedules and travel logistics
• Remote flexibility is available during periods without active site, Boise office, or contractor commitments
• Travel to site and contractor offices required as needed based on project phase and construction activities

Full-time, permanent position supporting the project through construction and into operational phases
POSITION OVERVIEW – Civil Engineer
The Civil Engineer will support a large-scale mining and infrastructure project by providing engineering oversight, design review, and construction support across critical site development activities.
This role will function in an owner’s representative capacity, working closely with engineering contractor to review designs, monitor construction progress, and ensure all civil infrastructure is delivered safely, efficiently, and in compliance with project and regulatory requirements.
The Civil Engineer will play a key role in supporting earthworks, drainage systems, site infrastructure, and water management solutions throughout the construction and early operational phases of the project.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Support and demonstrate the client’s commitment to safety, environmental stewardship, and responsible resource development
• Review and provide oversight of civil engineering designs, drawings, and construction packages developed by EPC contractors
• Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with design specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements
• Provide engineering support for site infrastructure including roads, pads, foundations, drainage systems, and earthworks
• Support development and oversight of tailings facilities, waste rock storage, and stockpile areas
• Conduct site inspections and assess performance of civil structures and earthworks
• Support water management systems including stormwater control, erosion protection, and sediment management
• Coordinate with geotechnical, environmental, hydrology, and construction teams to manage site risks
• Assist with project planning, contractor coordination, and construction sequencing
• Provide input into cost estimates, schedules, and risk assessments
• Maintain accurate engineering documentation and project records
• Collaborate with internal teams and external contractors to ensure successful project execution
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
• 6+ years of experience in civil engineering, with exposure to large-scale construction, heavy civil, or earthworks projects
• Experience working on infrastructure, site development, or industrial projects
• Strong understanding of grading, drainage, earthworks, and civil infrastructure design
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D or similar design software
• Ability to review engineering drawings, specifications, and construction standards
• Experience working in field environments and supporting construction activities
• Ability to coordinate with contractors, engineers, and cross-functional teams
• Willingness and ability to travel to remote project sites as needed
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Experience supporting mining or large-scale industrial projects
• Familiarity working with EPC or EPCM contractors (e.g., Hatch)
• Understanding of tailings facilities, waste rock storage, and mine infrastructure
• Knowledge of geotechnical and hydrological principles
• Experience with contractor oversight and construction management support
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or progress toward licensure
