Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker at Inner Horizon Counseling, you will be entrusted with a variety of responsibilities, including but not limited to:

• Conducting thorough clinical assessments to understand clients' needs, history, and mental health concerns, ensuring a personalized treatment approach.
• Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based practices and utilizing therapeutic modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT).
• Maintaining meticulous and confidential clinical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations, ensuring that all documentation is timely and accurate.
• Collaborating effectively with an interdisciplinary treatment team, which may include psychiatrists, psychologists, and community resource specialists, to deliver holistic care for clients.
• Participating in regular peer consultations and case reviews to discuss treatment strategies, share insights, and refine therapeutic approaches.
• Providing education and support to clients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and community resources available to them, empowering them to make informed choices.
• Staying informed about the latest research and developments in the mental health field, integrating new knowledge into practice to enhance treatment efficacy.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with diverse individuals in our community who are facing various mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. This role requires a deep commitment to understanding and respecting each client’s unique circumstances and cultural backgrounds. By applying your clinical skills and empathy, you will help clients navigate their mental health journeys towards recovery and resilience.

Qualifications

• A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution is required to showcase your academic proficiency.
• A valid license to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in New York State, reflecting your professional dedication and qualifications.
• At least three years of clinical experience, equipping you with a solid foundation of knowledge in psychotherapy and mental health practices.
