The work setting for this position is remote, primarily focused on interacting with students and staff in local schools. Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct clinical services to students experiencing symptoms of serious mental illnesses or emotional disorders, including conducting assessments, individual and group therapy.
  • Participate actively in team meetings and contribute to the development of strategies aimed at improving student mental wellness and academic performance.
  • Establish a trusting rapport with students, promoting a safe environment conducive to open dialogue about mental health issues.
  • Develop and monitor integrated care plans tailored to individual student needs, ensuring collaboration with families, educators, and healthcare providers.
  • Conduct brief, evidence-based screenings and coordinate additional assessments when necessary to better understand the student's challenges.
  • Engage in crisis intervention as needed, providing immediate support to students in distress to stabilize their emotional state.
  • Ensure timely and accurate documentation of client progress and maintain compliance with ethical guidelines, codes of conduct, and organizational policies.
  • Actively contribute to quality improvement initiatives within the agency to enhance service delivery and health outcomes.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and team training to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
Patient Population / Client Focus

This role will focus on a diverse population of students from various backgrounds, many of whom may be navigating socioeconomic challenges. As a clinical social worker, you will address mental health issues ranging from anxiety and depression to more severe emotional disorders. You will promote resilience, coping strategies, and the skills necessary for students to thrive academically and socially.

Qualifications
  • A Bachelorโ€™s degree in Social Work (BSW) is required; a Masterโ€™s degree (MSW) and LCSW certification are preferred.
  • Minimum of two years of relevant clinical experience, preferably within school or community-based settings.
  • Proficiency in crisis intervention methods and techniques, with expertise in risk assessment.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with students and families from diverse cultural backgrounds.
  • Strong organizational skills, with an aptitude for managing multiple caseloads and meeting deadlines.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of ethical practices and legal standards related to mental health service delivery.
Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
