Job description

BPM is looking to hire a Tax Senior or Supervisor (depending on experience) in our Flowthrough practice. 

As a Flowthrough Tax Senior or Supervisor you will play a key role in delivering high-quality tax compliance and advisory services to partnerships, S corporations, and other pass-through entities. In this role, you will prepare and review federal and multi-state tax returns, conduct technical tax research, and support planning initiatives for a diverse client base ranging from middle-market businesses to high-net-worth individuals. You will collaborate closely with managers and partners to address complex tax matters, contribute to client recommendations, and assist with special projects, while also mentoring junior staff and helping to ensure engagement deadlines and quality standards are met. This position offers the opportunity to deepen your expertise in flow-through taxation while building strong client relationships and serving as a trusted advisor.

Note: Candidates within 45 minutes of a BPM office will be expected to follow a hybrid schedule.

Requirements:
  • 4+ years’ experience in public accounting with an emphasis in Flow-Through Taxation.
  • Degree in Accounting or related field (Masters degree a plus)
  • Licensed CPA, or in the process of obtaining CPA license OR EA certified
  • Participate in tax research about complex tax issues.
  • Exposure to a variety of entities and industries.
  • Strong analytical ability and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrates proactive thinking.
  • Experience developing and training associate level professionals.
Responsibilities:
  • Provide tax compliance and consulting to a diverse base of flow-through clients in the Real-Estate, Crypto Currency, Venture Capital, REIT projects, Private Equity and/or Wine Industry.
  • Work with clients to minimize their federal, state, and local tax liability.
  • Supervise tax associates' assignments and managing the day-to-day delivery of tax compliance / consulting services to the client.
  • Develop and motivate tax associates by providing them with counseling, leadership and career guidance.
