Job description

Salary:

A3 Technology, Inc. is seeking experienced System Administrators to support the FAAs Brand-New Air Traffic Control System (BNATCS) Tower Simulation System (TSS) initiative.


This position supports:

  • Server deployment and configuration for 96 retrofit TSS sites
  • Development and configuration for 30 new systems
  • Installation and validation for 86 additional TSS sites
  • Continuous data management and system monitoring
  • EDR configuration and validation
  • System readiness for CAI/JAI activities


The System Administrator ensures stable, secure, and compliant system environments prior to operational acceptance.


Responsibilities:


System Deployment & Configuration

  • Install, configure, and validate Windows or Linux-based servers.
  • Support virtualization environments (VMware/Hyper-V as applicable).
  • Configure storage, backups, and redundancy.
  • Support system baseline configuration.


Data & Application Support

  • Support TSS application hosting environments.
  • Perform system patching and updates.
  • Validate EDR configurations.
  • Support continuous data management activities.


Installation & Validation

  • Provide system readiness validation prior to installation.
  • Support system testing, validation, and troubleshooting.
  • Coordinate with Network Administrators and Implementation Engineers.
  • Support CAI/JAI documentation and verification.


Security & Compliance

  • Ensure systems meet FAA security requirements.
  • Support Public Trust clearance requirements.
  • Implement hardening and configuration controls.


Documentation & Reporting

  • Provide inputs to:
    • Weekly site reports
    • Status reports
    • CAI/JAI documentation
    • Legacy system disposition documentation (as required)


Skills Required:

  • College degree (or equivalent military or field experience).
  • Minimum 7 years of progressive system administration experience.
  • Experience managing Windows Server environments.
  • Experience supporting virtualized systems.
  • Experience with system hardening and security baselines.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills in operational environments.
  • Ability to support live operational environments.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.


Skills Preferred:

  • Prior experience supporting FAA, DoD, or other Federal aviation or critical infrastructure programs.
  • Experience supporting NAS systems or air traffic control environments.
  • Familiarity with simulation platforms or ATC systems.
  • Experience in mission-critical operational environments.
  • Microsoft or VMware certifications.
  • Experience supporting system cutovers, decommissioning, or legacy system disposition activities.


Work Environment & Travel

  • Work is primarily performed on-site at FAA facilities across the NAS, with additional work at contractor or integrator facilities as required.
  • Position requires frequent nationwide travel to FAA sites in support of surveys, remediation, installation readiness, and disposition execution.


Additionally, US Citizenship or documented proof of eligibility to work in the US is a must. Upon receiving a conditional offer of employment, candidates will undergo a Government investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for Government clearance. Verification of past employment, education and references is also required. It is imperative that candidates be either a US citizen or a current green card holder with the last 3 consecutive years as a resident of the US.


The salary range for positions is $50,000 to $175,000. This range is provided as a general guideline and should not be interpreted as a guarantee of compensation. Actual salary offers will be determined based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to the specific responsibilities of the position, the candidates education, experience, location, knowledge, skills, and abilities. In addition, compensation may be influenced by applicable Federal Government contract labor categories and established contract wage rates.
