Job description

System Administration & Configuration
  • Serve as the primary system administrator for Unanet ERP (Time, Expense, Projects, and Labor modules).
  • Configure user roles, approval groups, charge codes, cost pools, and labor categories in compliance with contract structures.
  • Manage system parameters, fiscal calendars, and project hierarchies across multiple funding sources and CLINs.
  • Administer DCAA-compliant timekeeping workflows, including leave types, overtime rules, and correction procedures.
  • Maintain integration with external systems such as ADP, Deltek, or Costpoint for payroll, accounting, and labor distribution.
Timekeeping & Compliance Management
  • Oversee all timekeeping operations, ensuring employee submissions, supervisor approvals, and audit logs are accurate and complete.
  • Conduct weekly compliance reviews of labor entries, approvals, and adjustments per DCAA guidelines.
  • Support internal and external DCAA, GAO, or agency audits through reporting, reconciliation, and documentation.
  • Ensure labor distribution reports accurately align with indirect cost pools and contract-level funding.
  • Maintain separation of duties between timekeeping, project management, and financial reporting functions.
User Support & Training
  • Provide Tier 1–3 Unanet support to users across HR, Payroll, Finance, and Project teams.
  • Develop and deliver training materials, SOPs, and user guides for time and expense reporting.
  • Host periodic training and refresher sessions to reinforce compliance awareness.
Reporting & Data Management
  • Design, maintain, and distribute custom Unanet reports and dashboards (labor utilization, indirect rates, project profitability, etc.).
  • Support Finance in preparing monthly labor reconciliations, variance analyses, and incurred cost submissions (ICS).
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity across Unanet modules, including employee, project, and vendor records.
System Enhancements & Upgrades
  • Coordinate Unanet patch testing, release notes review, and upgrade validation in collaboration with IT.
  • Recommend and implement workflow improvements or automation initiatives to improve efficiency and compliance monitoring.
  • Liaise with Unanet Support and/or system integrators for issue resolution or advanced configurations.

Qualifications
Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3–5+ years of direct experience administering Unanet ERP (Time & Expense modules) in a federal contracting environment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of DCAA, FAR, CAS, and OMB circulars related to labor charging and cost allocation.
  • Experience managing labor distribution, cost pools, indirect rates, and project charging structures.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; advanced Excel and reporting proficiency.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with HR, Finance, and Project Control teams in a fast-paced, deadline-driven setting.
Preferred:
  • Experience supporting Incurred Cost Submissions (ICS) and DCAA pre-/post-award audits.
  • Familiarity with Unanet Financials, CRM, or Accounting module integrations.
  • Knowledge of ADP, Costpoint, or Deltek Time & Expense environments.
  • Unanet Certified Administrator (UCA) credential or equivalent.
