The Payroll Specialist (Remote) is responsible for managing accurate and timely payroll processing using both custom in-house systems and ADP. This role ensures compliance with tax regulations, administers employee benefits, maintains detailed records, and supports audit processes. The specialist also communicates effectively with employees to resolve payroll-related issues while safeguarding confidential information.
Responsibilities
- Process payroll accurately and on schedule using custom systems and ADP
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations
- Administer employee benefits and deductions
- Perform data entry and maintain payroll records
- Generate reports for management and audit purposes
- Support internal and external payroll audits
- Manage payroll systems and troubleshoot issues
- Communicate with employees regarding payroll inquiries and resolve issues
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of payroll processing experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Familiarity with payroll software such as ADP and Paychex
- Strong knowledge of tax regulations
- Exceptional attention to detail and time management skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Effective communication and problem-solving skills
