Job description


The Global Sourcing Senior Data Analyst is data driven and collaborative with exceptionally strong analytical, and technical skills. This person works with other team members within GS and teams adjacent to GS to build data-driven solutions from large data sets and identifies patterns that lead to greater business insight and enhanced vendor analytics. The role requires developing and running reports to meet departmental needs as well as developing related slide material for leadership presentations.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Lead ongoing effort to define/develop, and enhance reporting and data capabilities within Global Sourcing
  • Work cross-functionally with business partners to aggregate and analyze data and develop key metrics to support initiatives across Global Sourcing
  • Creative and innovative thinker with an ability to translate large, complex data and metrics into actionable recommendations
  • Ensure data accuracy and create ad-hoc reports, as needed.
  • Utilize database queries to build data tables and reporting
  • Monitor and analyze operational data to identify trends in the vendor dataset.
  • Create and maintain weekly and monthly metrics and dashboards.
  • Translate management reporting requests into technical requirements, probe and refine requirements based on technical knowledge, and execute against ask
  • Build and manage slide decks to support department initiatives
  • Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • High sense of urgency when responding to requests and ability to quickly change focus.

The anticipated salary range for this position is $78,100 - $117,100 depending on location, knowledge, skills, education and experience. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition, we offer comprehensive and competitive benefits to Associates (and their families) such as medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability. Eligible Associates are able to enroll in our company's 401k plan. Associates will accrue paid time off up to 236 hours per year (inclusive of PTO, floating holidays, and paid holidays). Paid sick time up to 80 hours per year unless otherwise required by law.

Education Requirements
  • BA/BS degree in Computer Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, Economics, Finance, or related field.
Years of Experience
  • 3+ years of experience as a data analyst or similar analytical role
Skills
  • Experience working with very large data sets and performing product- and business-level analysis
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel: use of data pivots, data visualization to show trends, create Dashboards and extensive knowledge of formulas, functions, and VBA
  • Knowledge of SQL, PL/SQL - required for query, profiling and testing
  • Database exposure: Microsoft Access, SQL Server, Oracle or similar RDBMS
  • Experience building data visualizations in platforms like Tableau or Power BI
  • Fluent in AI prompt building to analyze raw data, synthesize findings, and pressure test existing analysis
  • Exposure to retail, catalog, and/or importer businesses preferred
  • Innate interest in and desire for continuous learning and personal development
