Job description

Job Description Location: 6002 Parks & Recreation/Recreation Pay Grade: A00 FLSA Status: Non-exempt The Swimming Pool Cashier & Concessions position are customer facing jobs that include preparing, cooking, and serving both food and beverage items; calculating and collecting payments in cash, credit, and check forms using a Point of Sale system, including operating a cash drawer, and returning accurate change; providing customer service in-person and over the phone, including, but not limited to, checking patron heights and answering patron questions; and assisting in maintaining cleanliness of all aquatic facilities. * This position performs duties deemed to be "safety-sensitive" and is therefore subjected to random drug testing under the City's policies. * Essential Job Functions Provides excellent guest services to all patrons, in person and via phone.

Utilizes a computer-based Point of Sale for pool admissions and concession sales. Accepts payments including cash, debit and credit cards; includes making change for cash payments. Prepares food such as hot dogs, packaged foods, ice cream dishes, and fountain drinks.

Cleans all work area surfaces and equipment. Stocks and restock items as necessary. Directs and instructing patrons within assigned areas.

Provides a safe environment for all participants using pool slides, and for participants in and around the pool. Monitors access to water slide and only permit individuals who meet the height requirements to ride the slide. Scans the catch pool to ensure swimmers are a safe distance from the slide exit.

Enforces all aquatic facility policies, rules, and regulations. Performs other duties as assigned. Minimum Education and Experience Candidates must be at least 16 years of age.

Ability to read, write and perform mathematical calculations at a high school level. Possession of or ability to obtain a current Food Handler Permit issued by the Tulsa County Health Department. Physical Requirements The work is typically performed while sitting, standing, or stooping.

The employee will occasionally lift, pull, push, or move items up to 25 pounds in weight. An offer of employment is contingent on the verification of credentials and other information required by the City of Broken Arrow policies, including the successful completion of a background check and drug/physical screening.
