Job description

The Owner Operator role involves independently managing and operating a commercial vehicle to ensure efficient, safe, and compliant transportation of goods across regional, long-haul, and local routes. This role demands strong vehicle maintenance skills, adherence to safety and transportation regulations, and excellent customer relations. The operator will typically make daily or weekly deliveries using fleet management software to track and report progress.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain vehicle condition through routine inspections and repairs
  • Ensure compliance with transportation laws and safety standards
  • Manage customer relations and provide timely communication
  • Oversee fuel consumption and optimize fuel efficiency
  • Operate independently across various transportation routes
  • Utilize fleet management software for tracking and reporting

Required Qualifications

  • Entry-level experience in trucking and logistics
  • MC and/or DOT #s
  • Commercial liability $1M & $100K Cargo Insurance
  • Authorized to work in the United States
  • Fluent in English

Preferred Qualifications

  • Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
  • Vehicle maintenance skills
  • Strong time management capabilities
  • Knowledge of transportation regulations and compliance
