What is a Remote VR?

A Remote VR job involves working with virtual reality (VR) technology from a remote location. This can include roles in VR development, design, support, or content creation for applications such as gaming, training, and simulations. Employees use VR headsets, software, and collaboration tools to build or interact with virtual environments. Remote VR jobs require skills in programming, 3D modeling, UX design, or technical support, depending on the specific role.

What does a Remote VR do?

A typical day for a Remote VR professional often involves collaborating with designers, developers, and project managers through virtual meetings, writing and reviewing code for VR applications, prototyping immersive environments, and testing builds on various devices. You may spend time researching new VR techniques, documenting your work, and communicating progress or challenges with your team using digital collaboration tools. Depending on the project phase, tasks can shift between creative brainstorming, intensive programming, and quality assurance testing. Working remotely gives flexibility, but strong time management is essential to meet project milestones and ensure effective teamwork.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in the Remote VR position, and why are they important?

To excel as a Remote VR (Virtual Reality) professional, you need a solid background in VR development or design, strong programming skills (often in Unity or Unreal Engine), and a relevant degree in computer science, digital media, or a related field. Familiarity with VR hardware platforms (such as Oculus Rift, HTC Vive), 3D modeling software, and possibly certifications in XR or immersive technologies are typically valuable. Strong communication, self-motivation, and problem-solving skills help you stand out when collaborating with distributed teams and managing projects independently. These abilities support effective creation and troubleshooting of immersive experiences in a remote work environment.

Job description

AI DATA COLLECTION SPECIALIST

$17.00/HR + WEEKLY BONUS | WORK FROM HOME AFTER PAID TRAINING

Location: Mesa, AZ

POSITION OVERVIEW

Masis Staffing Solutions is seeking reliable, detail-oriented individuals to participate in an exciting AI Data Collection Project helping train the next generation of AI-powered robots.

In this role, you will use a VR headset and mobile technology to complete everyday activities from home. Your movements and actions are recorded and reviewed to help improve AI and robotics technology.

No previous AI, robotics, or VR experience is required. Paid training is provided.

PAY & BENEFITS

  • $17.00 per hour
  • Weekly performance bonus up to $170
  • Weekly pay
  • Minimum 30 hours per week
  • Paid in-person training
  • Work from home after successful completion of training
  • VR equipment provided

PAID TRAINING

Training is completed in person in Mesa, AZ, and you are paid for your training time.

Employees must be available for 3 consecutive days of paid training, from:

9:00 AM – 5:30 PM

Training schedules are offered as either:

  • Friday, Saturday & Sunday
  • Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday

Employees must attend all 3 consecutive days of their selected training schedule.

IMPORTANT: INITIAL WORK COMMITMENT

After completing paid training, employees should be prepared to commit to approximately 6 hours of work per day during the first several weeks of the project.

This initial period is important because your recorded footage will be reviewed by our Quality Control (QC) team to make sure you understand the tasks and are consistently producing accurate, usable data.

As you demonstrate that you can successfully meet the project's quality and production expectations, your schedule may become more flexible.

Candidates should understand that this is not a highly flexible schedule from day one. A consistent time commitment is required during the initial evaluation period.

WHAT THE WORK IS LIKE

The activities themselves are simple, but the way they are performed is important.

You will complete everyday activities using slow, deliberate, and accurate movements while wearing a VR headset.

Activities may include:

  • Folding laundry
  • Organizing household items
  • Cleaning countertops and other surfaces
  • Picking up and moving light household items
  • Reaching, bending, and moving naturally
  • Following instructions through a mobile application
  • Repeating tasks as needed to capture quality data

The work requires patience, focus, consistency, and attention to detail.

Because movements need to be performed slowly and accurately, the work may be more physically tiring than it initially appears. Candidates should be comfortable performing these types of movements for several hours at a time.

QUALITY & PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS

Quality is an important part of this project.

Your recorded footage will be regularly reviewed by the QC team. Employees who consistently meet quality and production expectations will have the opportunity to continue on the project and may receive more flexibility in their schedule.

If an employee is unable to consistently meet the project's quality, accuracy, or production requirements, the assignment may be ended.

Our goal is to provide clear expectations and support employees in becoming successful on the project.

WHO IS A GOOD FIT?

This opportunity may be a great fit for:

  • Gamers
  • Gig workers
  • Uber, Lyft, DoorDash, Instacart, or Amazon Flex drivers
  • Freelancers
  • Remote workers
  • Technology enthusiasts
  • People interested in AI, robotics, or VR
  • Individuals who are patient, detail-oriented, and comfortable following instructions

REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Must reside in Arizona
  • Comfortable using smartphones and mobile applications
  • Reliable high-speed internet
  • Smartphone in good working condition
  • Able to stand, bend, reach, and lift light household items while wearing a VR headset
  • Comfortable performing slow, controlled movements for extended periods
  • Reliable transportation to the Mesa training location
  • Must successfully complete a background check
  • Must successfully complete an oral swab drug screen
  • Must be able to commit to a minimum of 30 hours per week
  • Must be prepared to work approximately 6 hours per day during the initial QC review period
  • Must attend all 3 consecutive days of paid in-person training

EQUIPMENT

VR equipment will be provided for the project. Employees are responsible for properly caring for and returning company/project equipment when requested or when their assignment ends.

SCHEDULE

The initial weeks of the project require a consistent daily commitment of approximately 6 hours so your footage can be reviewed by QC and your performance can be evaluated.

Employees who successfully demonstrate consistent quality and production may have greater scheduling flexibility as they progress through the project.

APPLY TODAY

If you're comfortable with technology, patient with detailed tasks, and interested in participating in an innovative AI project, we encourage you to apply.
