Location: Culver City, California (In-Office) / Remote considered , UK London office / remote considered

Job Type: Freelance or Full-time

Position Overview

As an AI Generalist Artist, you will be responsible for generating and refining high-quality visual assets using ComfyUI as the primary platform. You will work with both open-source models and in-house fine-tuned models, collaborating closely with the Head of AI and the creative team to explore new possibilities in AI-generated art. Your contributions will span across multiple projects and platforms, combining technical proficiency with artistic innovation.

Key Responsibilities

· Utilize ComfyUI with open-source models (e.g., FLUX, QWEN, WAN) as well as in-house fine-tuned models.

· Work with existing ComfyUI workflows and develop new ones as needed.

· Contribute to both shot production work and R&D tasks, including project pitches.

· Collaborate with the Head of AI, AI artists, and CG artists to define and execute creative strategies.

· Iterate on AI-generated outputs based on feedback to achieve the highest quality standards.

· Stay current with the latest advancements in AI art generation and introduce innovative techniques to the team. Build and maintain a library of AI-generated assets for future use and reference.

Qualifications

· Experience:

o 3+ years of professional experience as an artist, with a focus on AI-generated or computational art.

o Mid-level to senior experience preferred.

o Proven experience with traditional VFX pipelines and tools is a strong plus.

· Technical Skills:

o Proficiency in ComfyUI and open-source AI art tools is essential.

o Experience with Adobe Creative Suite and/or 2D/3D software packages (e.g., Blender, Maya, Nuke, Houdini).

o Familiarity with Google Sheets or equivalent spreadsheet software.

o Python scripting experience preferred — especially for integrating new techniques into existing pipelines (e.g., Nuke's Cattery or Flame Inference nodes).

· Soft Skills:

o Strong problem-solving abilities and adaptability in both independent and team settings.

o Excellent communication skills to clearly articulate creative concepts and technical ideas.
