Overview

Scope of Responsibilities:  The Vice President of Pharmacy Solutions will provide executive leadership of Vertex, including strategy, growth, and performance of all pharmacy solutions offerings. In this role, they will be responsible for developing and executing upon divisional plans to meet and exceed overall corporate goals.

 

Job Summary: The Vice President of Pharmacy Solutions serves as the divisional leader for Vertex, operating as a core division within KPH Healthcare Services.  The Vice President of Pharmacy Solutions is responsible for the strategic direction, financial performance, and growth of Vertex. This role drives the development, commercialization, and execution of pharmacy solutions, including formulary strategy, rebate optimization, and analytics offerings. The Vice President of Pharmacy Solutions will lead market expansion efforts, establish key partnerships, and ensure alignment with broader organizational objectives.

Responsibilities
    • Strategic Leadership
    • Develop and execute the strategic roadmap for Vertex
    • Monitor market dynamics and competitive landscape to inform proactive strategy
    • Identify and launch new pharmacy solution offerings aligned with market needs
    • Product & Solutions Development
    • Oversee development and commercialization of formulary, rebate and analytics solutions
    • Establish scalable, market-ready products for employer, consultant, and health plan segments
    • Drive innovation across PBM-aligned solution sets
    • Partnership & Vendor Strategy
    • Lead negotiation and management of key vendor relationships
    • Optimize rebate GPO and formulary partnerships
    • Identify new strategic alliances to expand capabilities
    • Commercial & Market Growth
    • Lead and support enterprise sales strategy and client engagement
    • Align with internal sales leadership and external consulting partners
    • Develop go-to-market strategies for Vertex solutions
    • Analytics & Financial Insights
    • Oversee rebate analytics and underwriting strategy
    • Translate data insights into market-facing value propositions
    • Organizational Leadership
    • Build and lead a high-performing team
    • Establish structure, accountability, and performance metrics
    • Foster cross-functional collaboration with ProAct teams
    • Oversee day-to-day operational execution within Vertex while maintaining accountability for overall performance
    • Financial Performance
    • Drive growth, margin optimization and overall profitability across Vertex
    • Responsible for completing all mandatory and regulatory training programs
    • Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications

Job Skills Required:

  • Strategic leadership and market positioning
  • PBM economics (rebates, formulary, underwriting)

  • Product commercialization and go-to-market strategy
  • Financial acumen and data-driven decision making

Education/Experience:

  • Minimum: Bachelor's Degree
  • Preferred: MBA in healthcare related field, or Pharmacy Degree from an accredited College of Pharmacy
  • At least 10 years of experience in the PBM, GPO or related industry
