Job description

What You’ll Do:

  • Own full-lifecycle recruitment for veterinarians, veterinary technicians, and support staff across a growing network of veterinary healthcare facilities.
  • Build and maintain a strong talent pipeline of qualified veterinary professionals, including DVM candidates and experienced vet techs.
  • Serve as the trusted consultant for clinic and regional leadership to advise on hiring needs, market conditions, and candidate sourcing strategies specific to veterinary healthcare.
  • Develop and execute targeted sourcing strategies to identify qualified veterinary candidates through professional networks, veterinary schools, licensing boards, industry associations, and other specialized channels.
  • Screen, interview, and assess veterinary candidates for clinical fit, credentials, and cultural alignment.
  • Coordinate on-site interviews and facility tours with hiring managers and clinic leadership.
  • Lead candidate debriefs with veterinary directors and hiring managers, providing input and influencing offer decisions to secure top talent.
  • Cultivate a positive candidate experience from application through on-boarding, including timely communications, credential verification, and professional declinations.
  • Maintain best practices, policies, procedures, and data integrity within your recruiting systems.
  • Update and maintain team and individual trackers, reports, and provide recurring updates to key stakeholders and clinic leadership.

What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years of direct recruitment experience recruiting veterinarians, veterinary technicians, or other healthcare professionals
  • Demonstrated ability to build consultative, collaborative relationships with hiring managers, clinic directors, and executives
  • Strong understanding of veterinary credentials, licensing requirements, and the vet tech certification landscape
  • Results-oriented with strong attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with urgency and a “can do” attitude
  • Experience sourcing candidates through multiple channels (web, social, professional networks, veterinary associations, etc.)

Nice to Have:

  • Experience recruiting for veterinary clinics, animal healthcare organizations, or similar healthcare settings
  • Familiarity with veterinary industry challenges and talent market dynamics

Details:
