Job Summary:
YO IT Consulting is a fast-growing AI Data Services company delivering training data for many of the world’s largest AI companies and foundation-model labs. They are seeking an Excel Quality Assurance Lead to oversee quality and consistency across Excel and spreadsheet AI training projects, ensuring that outputs meet project guidelines and quality standards. The role involves reviewing AI-generated Excel formulas, providing feedback, and supporting onboarding processes.
Responsibilities:
• Spot-check Excel/spreadsheet items and provide feedback through DMs.
• Review AI-generated formulas, spreadsheet workflows, financial models, data-cleaning steps, pivot-table guidance, charts, and explanations.
• Communicate guideline changes and Excel-specific standards on Discord.
• Answer questions around formulas, references, lookup logic, dynamic arrays, pivot tables, Power Query, modeling assumptions, and rubric interpretation.
• DM inactive contributors and manage activation follow-ups.
• Create Excel documentation, style guides, examples, trackers, FAQs, honeypots, and onboarding materials.
• Run onboarding/training calls for Excel contributors.
• Flag misleading analysis, fragile spreadsheet logic, incorrect formulas, or risky business/financial assumptions.
• Improve QA processes based on recurring spreadsheet-quality gaps.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Data Analytics, Economics, Statistics, Operations, Information Systems, or equivalent professional experience.
• Strong grasp of English to follow guidelines and provide clear feedback.
• 3+ years of professional experience using Excel for analysis, reporting, financial modeling, operations, BI, accounting, data cleaning, training, or spreadsheet QA.
• Strong understanding of formulas, functions, cell references, lookup logic, dynamic arrays, pivot tables, charts, conditional formatting, data validation, and spreadsheet modeling best practices.
• Ability to identify issues such as incorrect formulas, wrong references, circular logic, poor assumptions, missing edge cases, fragile models, misleading charts, or incomplete explanations.
• Comfortable with Discord, Google Sheets, Google Docs, trackers, dashboards, Excel Online, Google Sheets, and PM systems.
• Highly organized and able to maintain style guides, trackers, FAQs, honeypots, calibration tasks, and onboarding materials.
Preferred:
• Familiarity with advanced Excel features such as XLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, SUMIFS, COUNTIFS, FILTER, SORT, UNIQUE, LET, LAMBDA, Power Query, Power Pivot, VBA/macros, Solver, and scenario modeling.
