The Content Operations Specialist - Digital Asset Management (DAM) supports the implementation, migration, administration, governance, and ongoing stewardship of the organization's DAM platform. This role ensures digital assets are organized, tagged, and maintained in accordance with established metadata and taxonomy standards.The DAM serves as a central hub and source of truth for digital assets across the organization. This specialist also contributes across the broader Content Operations team, supporting content flows, authoring workflows, and platform enablement activities. This is a remote position that we are open to considering candidates in the following states: AZ, FL, GA, IA, ID, IN, KS, MI, NC, NH, OR, PA, SC, TN, TX, or WI.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support DAM platform implementation, configuration, and day-to-day administration, ensuring assets are organized, curated, and governed in accordance with established metadata, taxonomy, and lifecycle standards.
  • Act as a steward of the DAM repository, helping maintain asset integrity, discoverability, and long-term usability across the organization
  • Apply and maintain metadata schemas and tagging standards within the DAM, ensuring assets are consistently classified, accurately tagged, and easily discoverable.
  • Manage the asset lifecycle, including ingestion, validation, organization, version control, archival, and retirement.
  • Monitor asset quality and compliance, including metadata completeness, naming conventions, and usage guidelines; conduct periodic audits to maintain repository health.
  • Support DAM user onboarding and ongoing support, providing guidance on asset submission, tagging, and search; assist with the migration of content and marketing assets from existing source systems into the DAM.
  • Support and maintain DAM integrations and downstream content distribution, ensuring assets are current and accessible across connected systems and channels.
  • Partner with engineering teams to configure and enable custom DAM portals for partners and customers, supporting setup, onboarding, and ongoing administration of portal access and asset availability.
  • Contribute across the Content Operations team by supporting content authoring workflows, platform enablement activities, and cross-functional initiatives; coordinate with Marketing, Product, and Engineering to ensure assets meet business needs.
  • Flag and escalate DAM process issues and user experience gaps; document platform procedures and contribute to team training and reference materials.

Required Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Business, Communications, or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of experience with content management and/or digital asset management platforms
  • Experience with digital asset organization, content lifecycle management and governance
  • High attention to detail with the proven ability to enforce consistency and quality across large volumes of digital assets.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to support and guide users across technical and non-technical teams.

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Experience with Digital Asset Management (DAM) platforms and core concepts including metadata tagging, asset organization, and lifecycle management is strongly preferred.
  • Experience working within enterprise content ecosystems (e.g., CMS, CCMS, PIM, or marketing technology platforms)
  • Familiarity with integrations, workflows, or APIs related to content platforms

  • The asset repository is clean, well-organized, and reliably searchable - users can find what they need quickly.

  • Downstream systems are reliably fed with current, accurate assets; partner and customer portals are active, well-maintained, and adopted by their intended audiences.
  • The specialist is a dependable, collaborative contributor across Content Operations - supporting team workflows beyond the DAM.
