What is Remote University Procurement?

Remote University Procurement refers to the process of acquiring goods and services for a university while working from a remote location, rather than on campus. Professionals in this role ensure that the institution’s purchasing activities are efficient, cost-effective, and compliant with relevant policies, even when conducted online or offsite. To thrive as a Remote University Procurement Specialist, you need a solid understanding of procurement processes, contract negotiation, and supplier management, often supported by a degree in business or supply chain management. Familiarity with procurement software such as Jaggaer or SAP Ariba, and relevant certifications like the Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM), are typically required.
