THE POSITION:

At STACK, the Electrical Engineering and Design Manager will support innovation initiatives, support campus master planning, update company design standards and provide support to the VP, Design Management for BOD and BTS project specific design activities throughout the Americas, ensuring that cost-effective and energy efficient data center facilities are developed to meet the current and future needs of the company. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Support data center campus master planning.

  • Oversee the preparation and final approval of project contract documents produced by third-party design consultants. Ensures that project designs are completed on schedule and within budget.

  • Provides design expertise and guidance on projects, operations, and systems within the company's existing facilities.

  • Maintain and update the legacy and evolving Basis of Design documents.

  • Maintain a digital Test Fit playbook for BOD and BTS site planning

  • Support in developing a digital BOD (in Revit) to standardize the design approach and support the evolution of the STACK BOD.

  • Provide support to the STACK Process team in implementing digital technologies.

  • Manage multi-project design deviation logs to allow for trend and cost analysis.

  • Work with the Process team to implement a database and tracker in Power BI.

  • Develop a STACK BIM Standard to be used on all BOD projects.

  • Supports the Critical Operations team with digital product support for day-to-day operations and as-built drawing access.

  • Research and develop a long-term strategy to support Digital Twin development for STACK BOD projects.

  • Assists in the development of new basis of designs for emerging business needs.

  • Identifies, recommends and implements new technologies and systems to maximize the energy and cost efficiency of the company's data centers.

  • Communicates and implements design policies, practices, standards, and security measures to ensure effective and consistent operations.

  • Maintains knowledge of emerging technologies and building design trends related to the data center industry.

  • Provides leadership for document management of the design documentation process through current and future project management software.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

THE DETAILS:

  • Location: Any STACK Data Center or Denver, CO, or open to remote work for qualified candidates

  • Travel: Domestic travel required up to 30%

  • Must be eligible to work in the United States

  • Must pass comprehensive background screening

MUST-HAVE QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Possess a Professional Engineering degree (electrical preferred, or structural, mechanical)

  • Proficient in Bluebeam Revu, Revit, and ACAD

  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Teams and PowerPoint

  • Have 5-8 years' experience working in the Data Center Sector and specification of electrical equipment for mission critical facilities.

  • Ability to manage a complex and diverse workload to support internal business and development processes.

  • Experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects

  • Ensuring adherence to corporate and legal standards

  • Ability to lead and manage teams effectively

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with various stakeholders

  • Strong skills related to initiative and process improvements

Compensation Range:

$197,600.00 - $221,300.00
