Key Responsibilities

• Conduct trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients’ histories and develop individualized treatment approaches.
• Create and implement comprehensive treatment plans aimed at recovery from trauma and fostering resilience among patients.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate healing.
• Conduct both individual and group therapy sessions to help patients process traumatic experiences and cultivate healthy coping mechanisms.
• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists and interdisciplinary professionals to ensure comprehensive care for shared patients.
• Provide crisis intervention services rapidly, assisting patients during trauma-related emergencies and ensuring safety and security.
• Educate patients and their families about trauma-related responses and coping strategies to enhance understanding and access available resources.
• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation in line with ethical and legal standards.
• Engage in ongoing professional development activities focused on trauma-informed care practices.
• Stay updated with contemporary research and best practices within the sphere of trauma therapy, ensuring the application of the latest methodologies in clinical practice.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary focus of this role will be on patients experiencing trauma-induced challenges, such as PTSD, complex trauma, or dissociative disorders. Our therapeutic approach emphasizes a deep understanding of each patient’s unique crisis, allowing for personalized care plans that respond effectively to individual needs. Our counselors are not only caregivers but also advocates for the emotional and psychological well-being of their clients, supporting them in their healing journey.

Qualifications

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure in the state of Tennessee as LMFT, LPC/MHSP, LPC, or LCSW.
• A strong foundation in trauma-related disorders, trauma-informed treatment methodologies, and approaches to resilience-building.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating compassion and a non-judgmental attitude toward patients.
• Ability to maintain composure in high-stress situations and foster an environment of trust and support.

Preferred Experience

• At least 2 years of post-licensure experience, preferably focused on trauma intervention.
• Demonstrated experience in delivering trauma-focused therapies and interventions tailored to diverse populations.
• Proficiency in utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant technology platforms.
• Evidence of collaborative work with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient care.

Compensation and Benefits
