Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough, trauma-informed assessments to gauge patients' histories and determine the most effective treatment strategies.
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans aimed at trauma recovery and the enhancement of coping skills, ensuring that these plans are regularly reviewed for effectiveness.
• Utilize evidence-based interventions, including but not limited to Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to assist patients in processing their experiences.
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, focusing on trauma processing and the development of resilience and coping mechanisms.
• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists and other mental health professionals to deliver integrated care that addresses the comprehensive needs of patients.
• Provide crisis intervention support during trauma-related emergencies, remaining calm and effective under pressure.
• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, practical coping strategies, and the resources available for ongoing support.
• Ensure accurate and confidential documentation of patient interactions in line with both legal and ethical standards.
• Participate actively in case consultations, team meetings, and continuous professional development activities centered on trauma-informed care.
• Remain current with the latest research and methodologies in trauma therapy, promoting best practices across the clinical team.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with adult patients who have experienced significant trauma, which may manifest as PTSD, anxiety disorders, or other related conditions. Understanding and effectively addressing the nuanced needs of trauma survivors is crucial to their recovery process. Your work will play a pivotal role in helping these individuals regain control, develop coping mechanisms, and ultimately lead healthier lives.

Qualifications

• A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Arizona.
• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience is preferred, with a focus on trauma-informed therapy.
• In-depth understanding of trauma-related disorders and evidence-based treatment methodologies.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, underpinned by a compassionate, non-judgmental approach.
• Ability to maintain composure in high-stress situations while providing empathetic support to patients.
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and standard computer applications.
• Effective teamwork and collaboration skills within a multidisciplinary clinical setting.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in delivering specialized trauma-focused therapies and psychotherapeutic interventions tailored to individual patient needs.
• Proven ability to remain adaptable in a remote work setting, prioritizing excellent patient care and maintaining therapeutic relationships despite physical distance.

Compensation and Benefits
