The Outlet Youth & Family Support Counseling Center is seeking a dedicated Licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our compassionate team as a full-time trauma specialist. In this role, you will:

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed assessments to evaluate individual patient needs and determine appropriate therapeutic interventions.
• Develop personalized treatment plans centered on resilience-building and trauma recovery, ensuring alignment with best practices in trauma therapy.
• Utilize evidence-based therapies, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to deliver impactful therapeutic experiences in both individual and group settings.
• Facilitate therapy sessions that help patients process trauma and develop effective coping strategies to manage their symptoms.
• Maintain close collaboration with psychiatrists and other mental health professionals to ensure an integrated approach to patient care, addressing all aspects of the client's well-being.
• Provide crisis intervention support for clients experiencing trauma-related emergencies, ensuring immediate assistance and guidance.
• Educate clients and their families on trauma responses, coping techniques, and available resources to foster understanding and empowerment.
• Document all patient interactions accurately and confidentially, adhering to strict legal and ethical standards.
• Engage regularly in case consultations and team meetings to share insights and enhance collaboration focused on trauma-informed care.
• Stay informed about emerging research and trends in trauma therapy to continuously improve the quality of care provided.

The primary patient population served includes youth and families who have experienced trauma, including those dealing with PTSD and complex trauma. Our approach is trauma-informed, ensuring that every interaction prioritizes the safety and emotional well-being of our clients. Ideal candidates will possess:

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• A current and valid state licensure as either an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT.
• Strong understanding and experience with trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment strategies.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating an empathetic and supportive demeanor.
• Proficiency in utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems to effectively manage client data.
• A collaborative mindset, capable of working effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

While not mandatory, the following experience is preferred:

• At least two years of post-licensure clinical experience in delivering trauma-focused interventions.
• A background in working with diverse populations and an understanding of cultural competence in therapeutic practices.
• Experience in group therapy facilitation, particularly in trauma recovery settings.
