Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Maricopa Counseling, LLC, your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans aimed at trauma recovery, ensuring they are tailored to meet each patientโ€™s unique needs.
  • Utilizing evidence-based therapeutic techniques, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate healing.
  • Providing both individual and group therapy sessions, offering patients the chance to process trauma, develop coping mechanisms, and foster emotional recovery.
  • Collaborating closely with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure a comprehensive approach to integrated patient care.
  • Delivering crisis intervention support during emergencies, utilizing your skills to manage acute trauma responses effectively.
  • Educating patients and their families regarding trauma responses and available resources, empowering them with knowledge and support.
  • Maintaining precise and confidential documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards, promoting transparency and accountability in patient care.
  • Engaging in case consultations and regular meetings to discuss treatment strategies and patient outcomes.
  • Staying informed about the latest research, advancements, and best practices in trauma therapy to constantly enhance the quality of care provided.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on individuals who have experienced various forms of trauma, including those suffering from PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. You will leverage trauma-informed approaches to deliver care to a diverse patient population, meeting them where they are in their recovery journey and tailoring interventions that resonate with their unique experiences.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:

  • A Masterโ€™s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of Florida.
  • A strong foundation in trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrating a compassionate and understanding approach.
Preferred Experience

While two years of post-licensure experience is preferred, candidates with strong practical knowledge of trauma-focused therapies and a passion for helping others are encouraged to apply.
