The Digital IT Program Manager provides leadership, management, and direction for programs and investments across the Digital Technology portfolio. Will support multiple programs and/or portfolios which will include multiple projects with various degrees of complexity, primarily medium to high complexity. Supervisory responsibility for Project Managers supporting Program or Portfolio of projects including development, training, mentoring/coaching, oversight, guidance, and risk/issue or conflict resolution.

The Program Manager will be responsible for supporting the implementation of the Digital Tech operating model in partnership with the Delivery, Product and Engineering teams. This role will direct transformation initiatives for activating and scaling the digital operating model and AI enabled initiatives and ensures organizational change management, communications, learning and development resources are provided to enable capability growth and accelerated adoption of the new ways of working.

How You'll Shine:

  • Communication and Leadership - Oversees continuous communication to business and IT leadership, project managers, project teams, customers, vendors, and sponsors regarding the status of the program or portfolio. Facilitates Portfolio and/or Program Reviews and provides information for audits, status reports, and review meetings. Partners with sponsor to provide program progress and status updates to executive leadership.
  • Program Budget and Schedule - Leads project managers on program & project financial management including planned and actual schedule and resources utilization, and compiles project financials for program and portfolio level reporting. Manages Program/Project Expenditures including capital and expense. Oversees vendor relations and procurement associated with the program.
  • Risk, Issue and Change Management - Manages issues, risks, and changes using appropriate and agreed upon processes and tools established within the Project Management Office. Acts as escalation path or senior advisor for project managers regarding conflict, risks, issues or changes associated with program.
  • Program/PMO Operation Efficiencies - Utilizes and makes recommendations to improve established scheduling techniques to derive the project schedules, identifies the critical path and potential risks. Effectively applies and improves the scheduling standards, enforces them with the project teams and provides guidance for Project Managers & Coordinators. Facilitates and actively participates in the continued development and execution of strategic road-mapping for the maturity of IT PMO practices and policies.


What You'll Bring:

  • Bachelors degree in computer science, or a related discipline or equivalent
  • Project Management certification or equivalent
  • Strong leadership, facilitation, negotiation, mentoring and personnel management
  • Strong communication skills and ability to present to Executive Level management.
  • Oversite of leading and creating presentations for Program Steering Committee(s) in alignment with the line of business (LoB), Business Solution Directors (BSDs) and IT Senior Leadership (IT SLT)
  • Experience leading and or managing resources including establishing development plans, coaching/mentoring, and conflict resolution.
  • Experience managing program level and project financials, schedules, scope and risks using established methodology.
  • Experience managing internal and external client expectations on program requirements and deliverables
  • Experience leading large and diverse IT project teams in a matrix environment including internal resources, vendors, onsite and co-located teams, and ensuring successful completion of all phases of complex programs.
  • Experience leading medium to large scale new application development or infrastructure deployment projects.
  • Experience with and knowledge of multiple systems development life cycles, (i.e. Iterative, Agile, Waterfall, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of enterprise-wide infrastructure platforms and services as well as security and compliance policies and procedures.
  • Experience in procurement management of large projects including identifying procurement / vendor needs, selecting vendors, managing relationships, & monitoring performance.
  • Master level experience / proficiency in MS Office Suite of products, (i.e. Visio, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
  • Proficiency with Clarity, Jira, and Confluence
  • 10+ years of experience in a Project and/or Program Management role with a strong background in team development and Program Management office as well as leading large programs.
  • 7+ years in an information technology capacity with understanding of various technologies including, applications, databases, networking, telecommunications and connectivity
  • 1+ years of experience with Agile Projects preferred
  • Preferred experience in leading digital portfolio and AI enabled initiatives


Experience equivalent to the education requirement may be accepted in lieu of the education requirement.
