Our team includes directors, case specialists, child development coordinators, coaches, and teachers & staff for our child development centers.

Title:                            Licensed Trauma-Informed Counselor

Department:              Resource & Referral

Location(s):               Downtown, Los Angeles

Primary Duties:       The licensed Family Well-Being Counselor provides trauma-informed mental health services, leads bilingual workshops, delivers coaching, and supports community wellness initiatives to strengthen family resilience.

 

Work Schedule:       Monday-Friday, 37.5 hours/week. Occasional weekends and/or evenings. 

                                   Hybrid Schedule available based on program needs (minimum of 2 days on site)

Starting rate:            $85k-$100k, depending on years of practice with full licensure

                                    Plus a comprehensive benefits package.

FLSA Status:            Non-exempt 

Start Date:                Immediately

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Provide trauma-informed counseling and coaching services
  • Track outcomes and maintain documentation
  • Deliver at least 120 one-on-one coaching sessions annually
  • Facilitate at least 12 bilingual workshops reaching 360 participants
  • Develop trauma-informed curriculum and materials
  • Provide mental health consultation to Pathways LA direct service childcare program

Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in social work, psychology, or other related field from a four-year college or university, required.
  • Licensure required (those close to completion may be considered)
  • 2-3 years' experience providing 1:1 mental health services to parents & young children
  • Experience creating and delivering trauma-informed care trainings to families
  • ECE teaching experience preferred

COMPENSATION PACKAGE INCLUDES:

10 sick days per year; no waiting period

10 vacation days per year for the first 2 years of service; accrual increase schedule; no waiting period

11 holidays; no waiting period

1 floating holiday; 90-day waiting period

18 paid hours of early release; no waiting period
