The Opportunity

We are hiring a Post-Closing Specialist to support post-purchase operations including collateral review, trailing document management, investor delivery support, and loan transfer coordination.

This role is ideal for someone with strong mortgage operations experience who understands the life of a loan after funding—specifically within Residential Transition Loans (RTL)—and thrives in a fast-paced, detail-driven environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Review closed loan files for completeness and accuracy
  • Manage trailing document collection and resolution (typically within 60–90 day delivery windows)
  • Support collateral review and investor delivery processes
  • Assist with assignments and loan transfers to investors
  • Coordinate servicing transfers and borrower transition support
  • Resolve post-purchase conditions and document deficiencies
  • Track and clear investor suspense items
  • Assist with title reconciliation or document corrections when required
  • Maintain accurate post-closing tracking logs and reporting
  • Partner with funding, capital markets, and servicing teams to ensure clean loan delivery


Qualifications

  • 4+ years mortgage industry experience required
  • 2+ years in post-closing, shipping, servicing, or secondary operations required
  • Direct experience with Residential Transition Loans (RTL) required (bridge, fix-and-flip, construction, or similar business-purpose products)
  • Experience with investor delivery, loan sales, or securitization processes preferred
  • Strong understanding of assignments, collateral files, and trailing documents
  • Experience supporting servicing transfers is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational discipline
  • Ability to manage multiple files and deadlines in a remote environment
  • Strong communication and follow-through skills
