Senior Manager, Field & Influence Marketing

Job description

Nymbus (https://nymbus.com/) isn't just a leader in fintech; we're a community of innovators passionate about reimagining banking. Our award-winning modern core platform and cloud-based technology serve as the backbone for financial institutions eager to modernize and excel.
We operate with an AI-first mindset across our business, continuously improving how we work and the value we deliver to our clients. Our culture is grounded in collaboration, accountability, and a strong commitment to execution.
The journey to growth begins with doing something different, and that journey starts with the talented people who make Nymbus successful. Thank you for considering Nymbus as the catalyst for the next chapter of your career.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Nymbus is a remote-first company. Occasional travel may be required for client engagements, team planning sessions, or project activities. Working hours primarily align with the Eastern Time Zone; candidates located in the Eastern or Central time zones are preferred.
POSITION SUMMARY:
Nymbus does not sell into a mass market. Our buyers are executive leadership and boards of banks and credit unions, a finite, largely nameable list of executives who do not make vendor decisions on a hunch. Winning in this market comes from building trust, proof, and nurturing centers of influence.
The Senior Manager, Field & Influence Marketing owns the points of influence that actually move this buyer with a primary focus on analyst and consultant relations, PR and industry press, and account-based marketing to a named target list. Demand generation, product marketing activity, and other marketing activities all support these three priorities rather than standing alongside them as separate mandates. This is an adaptive marketing role by design; Nymbus's marketing team is nimble, our strategy shifts as we learn, and this person needs to move fluidly across channels rather than defend a single lane. Reporting to the Chief Strategy & Marketing Officer, you'll also manage our Events Manager, since peer conferences and roundtables are one of the highest-trust channels we have.
OBJECTIVES OF THE ROLE
  • Build and run a regular analyst and consultant briefing cadence with the firm's bank and credit union leadership and key decision-makers consult with before a vendor decision.
  • Direct external communications and industry press relations, ensuring Nymbus is credibly positioned in the specific trade publications that influence our target buyers.
  • Build a named-account marketing engine tied directly to Sales' target list, reinforced by customer and peer advocacy and a clear product narrative.
  • Translate our modern banking platform capability in partnership with Product, ensuring comfort in product marketing efforts and acting as an advocate for how our products are positioned to the market through focused campaigns.
  • Establish and oversee a marketing technology architecture tailored to a high-value, relationship-centric, named-account lead generation strategy.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Analyst & Consultant Relations
  • Own relationships with the analysts and consultants bank and credit union boards actually consult before a vendor decision.
  • Build and run a regular briefing cadence; prepare executive briefing and marketing materials with the CSMO and CEO.
  • Lead industry rankings, evaluations, and award submissions as a standing quarterly priority, not an ad hoc task.
  • Track and report on how analyst sentiment and coverage evolve as a leading indicator for the business.
  • Regularly audit marketing content for accuracy and relevance, and close content gaps, since outdated or inaccurate material in front of an analyst or a bank board is a credibility risk, not just a cleanup task.

PR, Communications & Industry Press
  • Own external communications strategy, with a focus on the trade press our buyers actually read.
  • Draft press releases, executive communications, and customer announcements.
  • Build direct relationships with the reporters and editors who cover bank/CU technology, not just distribute releases.
  • Collaborate with the Product team to define the product marketing narrative and competitive landscape for our modern banking platform, ensuring industry press accurately reflects Nymbus' market position.
  • Support crisis communications when necessary

Account-Based & Named-Account Marketing
  • Build and run marketing programs and campaigns against Nymbus's named target list.
  • Maintain working knowledge of a meaningful share of target accounts by name and context.
  • Partner with Sales to identify what a specific target account's CEO or board needs to see or hear to move forward, and orchestrate it: a customer reference, an analyst mention, a peer introduction, a piece of content.
  • Collaboration with Client Partnership and Sales to build reference and advocacy programs that let prospects hear directly from peers already using Nymbus, and support peer roundtables, customer councils, and reference calls.
  • Design pre- and post-event campaign activations for peer conferences and roundtables that turns relationship touchpoints into named-account progress.

Marketing Operations & Team Leadership
  • Own day-to-day management of a marketing budget, with CSMO sign-off above an agreed threshold.
  • Coordinate agency and freelance partners.
  • Select, build, and maintain the marketing technology stack (CRM integration, ABM tooling, email/communications systems) appropriate to a named-account model, rather than defaulting to tools built for high-volume demand generation.
  • Track, measure, and report on marketing performance across all channels and initiatives, continuously refining tactics based on what matters in this model: analyst sentiment, named-account engagement, press coverage quality, and pipeline influence.
  • Lead and develop the Events Manager; ensure conferences, roundtables, and peer events are run as trust-building tools, not just logistics.
  • Improve marketing workflows and operating rhythms as the team grows.

AI-Driven Innovation
  • Integrate AI tools actively into strategic planning and daily workflow: market research, audience insights, creative testing, performance analysis, and competitive intelligence.
  • Champion new platform capabilities and automation opportunities that create strategic advantage for Nymbus Marketing.
  • Share learnings and continuously raise the bar for how the team uses AI to think faster, plan smarter, and deliver more.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 5 to 8 years of B2B marketing experience in a regulated, relationship-driven, or long-sales-cycle market: fintech, banking technology, enterprise SaaS to executive buyers, insurance, or similar; direct banking/credit union experience is a strong plus but not required.
  • Demonstrated ownership of analyst relations and/or industry press relationships, not just supporting them.
  • Account-based marketing experience against a defined, named target list, as opposed to persona-based segmentation at scale.
  • Comfort operating as a generalist, willing to shift focus across functions as strategy requires, rather than defending a single lane.
  • Strong executive communication skills, comfortable drafting for an executive audience.
  • Comfortable selecting and standing up marketing technology (CRM, ABM, email/communications tools) from scratch or reconfiguring an existing stack is a plus.
  • Cross-functional fluency working with Sales, Product, and Executive Leadership.
  • Experience marketing to bank or credit union executives, or another risk-averse, board-governed buyer, is a plus.
  • Familiarity with AI/agentic tools for content and marketing production is a plus.
  • Prior experience managing at least one direct report is a plus

SALARY & BENEFITS:
  • $110,000 - $125,000 Annual Salary
  • Annual Cash Bonus and Equity Options commensurate with the role level and experience
  • 100% Remote
  • 401(k) plan
  • Insurance - Health, Dental and Vision
  • Paid Time Off
