Job description

TransPerfect are partnering with a toy brand for children and adults alike. As part of this collaboration, we're seeking a freelance ecommerce copywriters with strong proven experience in producing copy for Amazon and/or other similar ecommerce marketplaces. Experience integrating SEO keywords into product copy is highly preferred although advanced SEO keyword research experience is not mandatory. Prior experience in working with IP (Intellectual Property) partner guidelines as part of the copy creation will also be preferentially considered.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create, optimise and manage product titles, bullet points, and descriptions across product listings.
  • Adapt brand messaging and product USPs into keyword-optimised, shopper-relevant content that drives performance.
  • Maintain brand content quality, consistency and compliance with client and platform-specific guidelines.

Requirements:
  • Must have the ability to write using US English
  • Minimum 5 years copywriting experience in retail/online market place ecommerce.
  • Demonstrable experience with Amazon (or similar marketplace eg Walmart or Tesco etc) content optimisation, ideally in consumer products or toys.
  • Robust knowledge of SEO, keyword/shopper intent and ecommerce search behaviour.
  • Ability to spot and correct inconsistencies, improve ecommerce copy readability, adapt messaging to specific product categories and follow brand tone.
  • Comfortable working with structured content templates and authoring tools.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong sense of how small changes can impact performance.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with project managers to ensure timely and accurate content delivery.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working with global brands or managing content across international marketplaces.
  • Background in retail/Amazon marketplaces, digital marketing, SEO optimisation, content creation, copywriting, digital communications
  • Strong experience of creating product copy for the toy industry is preferred
  • Strong experience of integrating SEO keyword research in product copy is also highly preferred
  • Experience of hands-on SEO research (eg. use of tools like semrush and Helium) is not essential but would be considered favourably
