Job Summary
The Value Stream Tooling Manger I oversees the management of tooling for specific Value Stream technologies, this includes contributing to the cost-out management, participating in the tooling development process for a specified technology and continuous improvement. Partners with the Value Stream teams, Tooling region directors, and Global Sourcing teams to drive world class execution in tooling to exceed operational targets. Acts as an integral part of the tactical tooling operations for a specific value stream technology, contributing to innovation and advancement of tooling strategy.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Participate in cadences as required between the Value Stream technology organization, the Global Tooling organization, and Regional Field Execution
  • Ensure all sites have both Live Outage Tool Kits and Lean Tools assigned by 30 days before outage start date; ensure Site Implementation Matrix is always updated
  • Develop clear, tactical Daily Management for specified technology tooling, inclusive of tooling assignments and dashboard updates, dispositioning the "Suggest Improvements" tool from Live Outage, evaluating, and reducing tool loss, ensuring proper demand placement with correct ETM numbers, and on-time billing of tooling to outages
  • Utilize Live Outage "Suggest Improvements" tool to garner feedback on the field for new tools
  • Participate in the Tooling NPI process as per process requirements
  • Partner with Sourcing and Global Tooling fulfillment teams to drive cost-out actions that impact jobs for tooling costs globally, including potential for restocking, calibration, specialty tools, and common tools
  • Perform competitive assessments to benchmark Global Tooling performance and rental rates against other industries and retail tool rental establishments - continuous improvement on S-Q-D-C
  • Travel may be required
  • May be assigned other duties to help proactively drive our FieldCore vision and align with our organization's core values.

Required Qualifications & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in related field
  • 7+ years applicable experience and demonstrated success/knowledge
  • 2+ years of specialized/industry experience
  • Experience working in or with Tool Centers and/or Tooling fulfillment
  • English proficiency required
