To thrive as a Remote Tool Designer, you need strong skills in CAD software, engineering principles, and design for manufacturability, usually supported by a degree in mechanical or industrial engineering. Proficiency with tools like SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and collaboration platforms such as Slack or Asana is typically required. Creative problem-solving, effective remote communication, and attention to detail are standout soft skills in this role. Join Centric Consulting - A Culture You'll Love

At Centric Consulting, we've cultivated a unique approach to business.  Our business is built on three fundamental principles: Enjoy the people you work with, have fun, and do great work. These principles define our consulting model and have crafted one of the most vibrant cultures in the consulting industry - celebrating individuals, collaboration, and lifelong friendships.

You'll be creating the natural language instructions that make AI agents effective at solving complex business problems. This is fundamentally about process decomposition and clear communication - breaking down messy, real-world workflows into precise instructions that agents can follow reliably.

In this role, you will:

  • Decompose complex business workflows into clear, step-by-step natural language instructions
  • Design instruction hierarchies, patterns, anti-patterns, templates, and rule systems that agents can follow consistently.
  • Work with subject matter experts to understand business processes, then craft agent instructions that capture that expertise
  • Test and refine agent behaviors through iterative instruction process design
  • Build progressive disclosure systems that reveal complexity only when needed
  • Coaching and training on how to drive the agentic process across teams

Who You Are:

Must Have:

  • Experience with prompt engineering or AI tool usage
  • Experience creating detailed process documentation, SOPs, or similar structured content
  • Some programming experience (preferably Python),. Ability to read code, create logical modifications, and have the  ability to work across the stack
  • Highly effective communication and experience breaking down workflows, SOPs, or business processes
  • Proven track record of learning complex technical concepts quickly
  • Background in training development or instructional design

Highly Valuable:

  • Background in business process analysis or workflow optimization
  • Exposure to decision trees, flowcharts, or similar process modeling
  • Familiarity with any agentic frameworks
  • Experience with system design and multiple agents
  • Technical writing experience
  • Knowledge of specific business domains (finance, healthcare, etc.)

Cultural Fit:

  • Self-directed learner: You'll be figuring out new instruction patterns constantly
  • Detail-oriented: Small changes in wording can create big differences in agent behavior
  • Systems thinker: You see how individual instructions fit together in larger workflows
  • Comfortable with ambiguity: Best practices are still being discovered
  • Collaborative: You'll work closely with technical teams and business experts
  • Curious about AI: You don't need to be an expert, but you should be genuinely interested in how agents interpret and follow instructions

Total Rewards:

We proudly offer competitive compensation, a comprehensive and well-rounded benefits package for full-time employees that have been designed to nourish your well-being, such as health coverage, wellness programs, 401K company match, self-managed PTO, and other unique incentives that celebrate your accomplishments.

  • Time Off When You Need It
